"Cute little hotel In the heart of San Carlos. The rooftop lounge was a real treat. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had breakfast delivered to my door each morning. The AC worked great and the beach was only a 10 minute walk away for a nice swim or some surfing. Would stay here again for the price. "

"Location, activities, specially for kids, water slides and other activities. Needs improvement at the snack bar by the main swimming poolside but it was tolerable. Noisy the first night but improved by the second night and after I approach the front desk and informed them. The rest of our stay was fantastic. "

This house was spacious enough to accommodate my entire family. Ms. Enelda and Mr. Jorge made several delicious meals for the family that we all enjoyed. "We really enjoyed staying at Casa Swell. It has a wonderful vibe in a semi-rustic setting. There are a limited number of rooms around a lovely pool. Beside the pool is an ample shared area, no walls but under a roof, including a large shared kitchen. They do not offer meals except for breakfast but each room is assigned space in a fridge/freezer and a cupboard in the kitchen. It is well-equipped for cooking.
Everyone from "J" (the owner) and his family to other guests were friendly. He came to pick us up from the center of Coronado rather than have us bother with a taxi. Coronado is a small town and Casa Swell was able to hook us up with good information on places to eat, realtors to use, and other tricks of life there.
We liked it so much that when we decided to reduce our time elsewhere to focus on Coronado, I just called J and said, "Block a room!" It is not elegant or fancy, but if you want a small oasis to relax amid "friends", Casa Swell is an excellent option.
