"The worst travel experience ever. We went on a family vacation and didn't receive the services and accommodation we were offered at Hotels.com description. The hotel is undergoing financial and legal challenges and the maintenance at the property was not existent; the children playground, arcade, and game room were closed; mosaic tiles in the children pool missing, with cement exposed on the floor with the risk of injury; the beach was dirty with broken glass; no lifeguard was available; not even one chair for guests available at the beach. The room was dirty. Our reservation was for 6 guests and we received linens and towels for 4 people only. No hands towel available. When asking for the missing linens and towels they said that it was not possible. We had to beg for the bed sheets and towels and had made the two beds ourself. Most of the staff, including the Operations Manager, was unfriendly. I understand because 3 of them told us that they had not received the salary for the last 2 weeks. They had no motivation to work or provide good customer service. The food was poor quality and low quantity. Only some repetitive dishes remained available for hours. This was a terrible vacation experience and we moved to another hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to anybody. "

"Wonderful! We hope to return. We had the best trip! This was our second time in Papagayo and I am already trying to figure out when we can return. The property was clean and nice and the location was perfect. We were able to rent a golf court and have tons of excellent options for dining and activities within minutes of the golf cart ride. "

"Good family place. I wish there were more shaded areas close to the pools. The stone used around the pools must be replaced; they were a huge hazard to fall when wet and burn your feet really bad; we saw a few people falling. The room was OK; nothing special but are in need of upgrades & basic maintenance. Our bathtub for instance did not hold water. The staff is great and the nature around you beautiful. All-in-all a great place but compared to the Ritz-Carlton around the corner the Four Seasons is no longer the best hotel in the area."

"Excellent property and exactly as described. Clean, quiet, convenient and stunning views! So easy to get around in a golf cart and we spent most days at the beach club (which is also great). Also highly recommend a private jet ski tour with Ever and team. It was incredible. We would stay here again. "

"Rebecca and her team were amazing in preparing for our stay providing pre stocking, golf cart arrangements and even Valentine’s Day flower arrangements. The home was better than the pictures and we absolutely loved the breathtaking views from every corner of the house. The housekeeping team were also amazing making sure the house was spotless and ready to be enjoyed every day. We highly recommend the home and we hope to return again in the future. "

"We had a wonderful family stay here on Peninsula Papagayo. Ana and the concierge team were great to work with. The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the golf cart didn’t work, but it sounds like they’ve since found the problem and are addressing it for the next renters. We had great dinners at the Four Seasons, Ritz and Andaz. If you want to cook or grill at home, the kitchen is fully stocked. The Prieta beach club was lovely… great service, uncrowded and perfect for kids and adults alike. We spent half a day at the new community park and the kids loved the big water slides and climbing wall. We were impressed by the hardworking groundskeeper crews and appreciated the extra level of security the peninsula had. All in all, it was a great stay and we’d definitely rent again! "
