  • This house is in a quiet new neighborhood in Pleasant Hill Iowa located 20 minutes from Downtown DesMoines,15 minutes from Adventureland amusement park, 15 minutes from Prairie Meadows Casino, 10 minutes from the Iowa State Fairgrounds, 20 minutes from the Chichaque Valley Trail head in Bondurant and 30 minutes from the Iowa Speedway in Newton. This is a two story house with 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. The property has a washer and dryer and a 2 stall attracted garage available for your use. This entire 1500 sq ft 3 bedroom home is for your private use. It comfortably sleeps 6. There is 1 queen size bed and 2 full size beds. All the comforts of home, with direct TV, wifi, new furnishings, pots, pans, table service, dishwasher, oven, microwave, etc. Kickback on either of the two custom leather sofas while adjusting the flame and heat in the fireplace. Utilize the 55 "smart TV in the living room or the smart TV in the Master Bedroom.

When we arrived at 9:30 pm it was 84 degrees in the house. It took until early morning before it was comfortable. We were also hit with the smell of dog urine. After the ac ran the smell went away. The house was clean and bedding was clean. There was a huge urine stain on one of the beds that did not come from us when we removed the bedding at the end of our stay. The location was great as it was an easy drive to many places were there to visit.

Quiet location

This house is located in a really nice quiet neighborhood. House met our needs for space. Could use a thorough cleaning. Especially since I paid a cleaning fee… Kitchen well equipped although we only used coffee maker. Didn’t like that we were responsible for washing and drying towels. Makes timing tough when you’re sitting around waiting for towels to get done.

Girls weekend

We met up with family for a fun girls weekend. We enjoyed Big Creek State Park and the outlet mall in Altoona. The house met our needs and we didn't have any issues. Beds were comfortable. House was clean and decorate nicely. Kitchen was well stocked which we used twice a day to cook meals. I am glad in the instructions I received prior to the trip that it stated the expectation is to wash, dry, and put away all towels prior to checkout. For this reason, we brought all of our own bath and kitchen towels from home. I had no interest in getting up extra early to do laundry before our 7AM departure. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals and have never had that as a checkout expectation. I would stay here again; I would just bring my own towels. Thanks for the use of your lovely home!

Perfect place to stay for golf and to see horses run in circles at the local racetrack. Although I didn’t use any of the amenities, this place was well equipped for small children, outdoor grilling, and anything else you can think of doing. A real gem. The host really has put thought into what anyone may need.

The home was in a quiet neighborhood, just as advertised. Plenty of room, adequate linens, well stocked kitchen appliances. Easy to access via key and garage door. Commercial grade toilets should mean never having any issues!
