"When we opened the door to our room, we were literally hit with a blast of cleanliness. The room smelled so clean, was so clean. It was very refreshing. The AC worked very well and the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The frigde and microwave worked well, tho I wished there had been one of those individual coffee makers in the room. Would definitely stay here again."
"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Carleton of Oak Park. Lovely building with a beautiful lobby!. Our room was spacious and clean; the bed quite comfortable. Easy-to-use shower/tub with two sinks...and fluffy towels. Loved the Frank Lloyd Wright architecture photos in the hallways. Great location too. We took a nice early morning walk around the neighborhood. Love the old buildings, the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired touches, the public art and the murals. Free parking. There are restaurants inside the hotel for breakfast and dinner, as well as several within walking distance. "
"It was very easy to get in and the interior was clean and beautiful. However, I had trouble sleeping in my bed (very little to no airflow in the bedroom) and would suggest bringing a bedside fan if you stay here in the summer. Otherwise our stay turned out great!"
"We were pleasantly surprised by this property, and wished that our travel itinerary was such that we could have stayed more than just one night. Beth, the innkeeper, is personable and tends to every detail. The property is lovely and peaceful. Great dining options just a walk away, train to the city around the corner, and a lovely neighborhood to walk around and revel in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Highly recommended inn. We shall reurn."
"This charming apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. It is a very short walk to the Green CTA train station. It was a quick 25-30 minute train ride to downtown Chicago. The CTA ticket was 5 dollars a day and lets you ride all the trains and buses. There is a wonderful breakfast spot across from the train station. It is a quiet, clean, safe neighborhood. Moe was very quick to answer any questions. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. "
