About this property

Experience A Bord D'une Peniche Centenaire

  • Sleeping aboard a real barge from 1927 in perfect condition on the Burgundy canal will leave you with an unforgettable memory with its 90 square metres. Private bathroom and toilet Large screen TV, hifi, Wifi, pellet stove, and two terraces totaling 25 square metres.
Full kitchen with all the necessary amenities, coupled with a kitchenette in the wheelhouse are available.
Everything you need on board is offered to you for a minimum of 3 nights or a duration at your convenience.
Atypical marine atmosphere guaranteed, cosy cocooning aboard this 28-metre long Dutch Klipper barge.

The barge is moored at the port of Plombières les Dijon near the city centre.
From there you can either focus your wanderings on nature, walks or bike rides, the architecture, art and culture of Burgundy, gastronomy and the great Burgundy wines nearby. The barge is perfect for couples, or a family (up to 7 people), business travellers, or groups, but also for a person looking for calm and solitude.

In summer, the terrace decks are very pleasant to drink your morning tea or coffee and ensure a good start for a beautiful day. Sunbathing, having an aperitif, lunch or dinner will give another dimension to unforgettable moments (planchas available).
The access to the wheelhouse will give you the impression of steering the 100-ton boat, you can linger there to contemplate the canal and the port.
We tell you here the ceiling height of the bargeman's room and the front peack is 1m80. And yes we are on a boat not in a castle😊. The rest of the boat has a normal ceiling height.

You have access to two cabins on board (this is what living spaces on a boat are called).
+Cabin I (old cargo slipways), with large terrace just above the cabin entrance I, access by the small metal staircase.
+Cabin II (bargeman's room), small terrace at the front of the boat (bow), access along the boat along the portholes.

We leave travellers with the tourist brochures that will guide them in the visit and discovery of our beautiful region (vineyards, Dijon, Beaune, Saône, gastronomy, culture, architecture, leisure and shows).

We wanted somewhere quirky and different and that is exactly what we got. It was great just sitting on the deck and watching the wildlife in and on the water. The centre Dijon was a short bus ride away and we had leisurely walks along the canal. Thank you Bruno.
The boat.
Although there were quite a few people fishing these fish were clearly adept at staying away from their hooks!

Charmante, parfaitement agencée, et vivante (loin des appartements locatifs impersonnels meiblés ikea), cette péniche nous a ravie.Et bonne situation a Plombière , petit air de campagne aux portes de Dijon. Je recommande :)
