"Stayed in early May 2026, and the main reason for booking this particular hotel was the pool. They have two- one in the grounds and one on the roof- but both were out of action and totally empty- this was never mentioned in the listing or the booking, which was extremely disappointing. We were also made to feel like an inconvenience when approaching the reception at times, despite being polite and respectful at all times- perhaps because we were a group of guys on a stag so- who knows. This hotel has massive potential, but it’s being wasted sadly.
The last insult was being charged nearly £7 for a bottle of sparkling water from the mini-bar- no bottled water was supplied or replaced in the rooms, and there was no price list in the rooms either. This same bottle of water was less than 50p in the shops, so to say that was a ridiculous mark-up would be an understatement"
"Hotel decor and cleanliness is very good.
Front desk service on early check in was poor. I got to hotel at 11am and even though rooms were free insisted on early check in fee. After a very long journey no offer of water while I waited, so negotiated early check in to €50.
Morning: Breakfast service good
Night: Upper roof top service bar/restaurant poor
Stayed here years ago. Service levels never with a friendly smile.
Accessibility. If you have walking up/down steps don't stay here. New annexe multiple steps. No doorman or concierge.
This hotel is not value for money
Best thing is the decor & cleaning staff.
The rest is below standard for the hotel rating. Won't stay here again."
"It’s a spotlessly clean modern hotel, but it’s not 4 star and it’s not exactly a bargain.
Reception staff are distinctly Soviet - leaving you standing while they deal with other things, speaking poor English and not having the faintest concept of smiling, friendly service. The curtains are too small, so you wake up 4.30am with the sun coming in.
The location is far from central (1.5km walk) and breakfast was dire. Dried out pastries, dry bread, and an absolutely meagre selection of anything else. I wouldn’t stay again."
