"This is an older hotel where the front desk staff are very accommodating. We asked to be upgraded from a road view to a lake view which they were able to do. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable enough. We ate dinner at the on-site restaurant and were disappointed to the degree we skipped breakfast even though we had vouchers. The wait staff were VERY slow to the point I found water pitchers myself twice because we couldn’t get their attention. The menu was a throwback to the 80’s and my ribs were cling-to-the-bone rather than fall off. It’s a good choice to stay if you’re passing through but I wouldn’t eat here."

"Room and hallways were clean and appeared to have recently been renovated/upgraded. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine and popular with the guests. Needed more coffee to keep up with the crowd. While the property was generally clean, one minor note for the management, it was Saturday night/Sunday morning and a trash can near one of the entry doors was full and had other boxes, and trash piled up next to it. A quick walk around by staff would have seen it and it could have been emptied."

"The Point Beach Guest House was perfect for our short women’s getaway. The host was extremely responsive before and during our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable, and located close to the beach as well as a good selection of restaurants. We were allowed to check in early which gave us extra time together, and 3 full bathrooms was a great bonus!"
