"We've been coming to semiahmoo for many years, but sadly this latest trip was less than perfect. The place seemed in disarray, and while dining options have always been limited, this trip was especially challenging. The first night we couldn't get a table as we checked in after 7 pm, so we dined on scores and Pringle from the front desk, the next night we waited over an hour and then another 20 min. To get bread and drinks after we were seated. Seems like many of the guests opted for dominos delivery, with empty pizza boxes just piling up in the trash cans on the terrace. The whole place looks like it hasn't been painted in years. And then on the third day the power went out.. Still a stunning location and scenery, and the staff was super nice and always apologetic, trying to make things work. But we left felling sad for the place, with many fine memories over the years, not sure if we'll be back again."

"Terrific view. Quiet. Lots of room. Location close to East Sound but distant enough to escape crowds and ferry surges. Sorry, the driveway needs work. Steep ascent/descent with loose gravel and a pothole. Otherwise, a dream."

"Beach view off deck, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful front desk, awesome heated outdoor pool, beach right across the street and fun outdoor pub next door with live music. Shores restaurant in front of the resort was not desirable however."

"We always enjoy our visit here. Very small beach town. Perfect little getaway. Property is perfect and has good accommodations. Door in our room was not bolted on well but aside from that we will be returning"

"Nice place to get away for just a weekend and it’s great that pets are welcomed. The only downfall is there was a bunch of spider nest on the deck, grill that is provided was really dirty and there was so much dust in the house. Other than those three issues it was great. The views are amazing and the walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all. Thank you again for allowing us to stay."

"Most amazing breakfasts we've ever had at a bed and breakfast. Fresh, local, unique. Who can argue with a bit of filet mignon for breakfast? Charles and Jill are amazing hosts, and would bend over backward for our every need. An added plus: if you love hummingbirds, the four or five feeders just outside the breakfast windows provided a constant flow of wonder. If you are coming to Orcas, this is the place to stay."
