The room itself was comfortable with evidence of recent upgrading of bathroom. However, the wind-down screen on the window was broken and could not be closed. When I pointed this out to the lady on duty, she was apologetic but could not fix it it and couldn't offer another room as the hotel was full. If you're familiar with Campanile hotels, you'll know that each room is looking directly on to a passage way used by all the residents on that floor, so we were left at 10 pm at night with no privacy and no way to block out the light from the outside lights. No compensation, even a partial refund, was offered because we had paid online.
Also, it is very difficult to spot the entrance to this hotel, which involves driving over a footpath from a busy dual carriageway.
