Standard chain hotel in an excellent city centre location. While it was very clean and quiet the hotel would benefit from some minor upgrades such as replacing stained carpets and redecorating here and there to bring it up to the standard of other Ibis Styles we have stayed in. The staff member who checked us in was helpful and courteous but the one who checked us out was the exact opposite and tainted our overall impression. The included breakfast was a welcome bonus.

Well placed

Thé hotel is in a great location, not far from the station and just a short walk from the Hotel de la Ville and lots of cafes and restaurants. I doubt that the room I was given would be standard (long corridor two rooms) but even so it was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast had everything you’d expect for a continental breakfast.

striking modern decor; very nice breakfast; excellent central location towels are skimpy and not worthy of this class of hotel. parking is below the hotel down a steep, curving ramp that demands caution! very convenient, but not for the faint-hearted or anyone with a large car.

A second room key please.

Great stay. Would have been nice to have another room key on arrival. My husband went out with the key and my son and I were a bit trapped in the room for an hour and a half till he came back, as I couldn’t use the lift. I did get a second key later on though.

This is a very modern, attractive hotel with large, well appointed rooms and stylish common spaces. The location is slightly outside the main flow of street traffic, but in less than 5 minutes you are in an area with lots of restaurants etc. And it was nice and quite, with good air conditioning, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. The one issue we had was around parking. I had specifically chosen this hotel because it listed onsite parking in the same building as the hotel. We arrived in Poitiers after a very long day of driving, so I was quite distressed to be told the onsite parking was unavailable because of construction. It turned out that the alternative option (parking in the public Hotel de Ville parking lot) was very nearby, but it was actually quite hard to navigate to, since Poitiers streets are labyrinthine. Not what I needed at that point in the trip. It ended up being fine, and and I will note that that desk staff worked hard to try and help us. But a disappointment to not have an amenity that was a specific reason I had booked the hotel.

Excellent choix pour un séjour à Poitiers. Pour tout ce que l’hôtel manque en « charme » (il est plutôt moderne — des années 90s je dirais), l’emplacement est parfait : il y a plusieurs commerces et restaurants à proximité. L’hôtel est très bien isolé et climatisé, ce qui était l’essentiel pour nous pendant la Fête de la Musique sous un temps caniculaire. L’hôtel était un oasis de calme et fraîcheur. En plus, la chambre était bien plus spacieuse qu’attendu, l’intérieur rénovée, surtout la salle de bain spacieuse. Malgré l’absence d’une cafetière ou bouilloire et bouteilles d’eau dans la chambre, il y a du café, du thé et une fontaine d’eau à disposition dans le lobby. Le personnel est accueillant, disponible et serviable. Le seul bémol, la télévision pourrait être plus grande pour la taille de la chambre. Globalement, je recommande vivement cet hôtel pour un séjour à Poitiers, en couple ou en famille ou bien pour un voyage d’affaires.
