This is the cutest, most comfortable, most quaint cottage ever. It’s on a gorgeous, clean lake with kayaks and a super fun lily pad.
Dot is great and easy to communicate with.
Quaint clean and comfy..private..noone bothers you..peaceful and serene...yes the dock is your own..kayaks on this magnificent lake..if you need to get away like i did..just do it..10/10 and ill be back next year!! I cannot wait!! Love love love..ty for sharing with me!
The Wee White Cottage is at the end of a private road. In October when we stayed we had the neighborhood mostly to ourselves. It was wonderfully quiet. The cottage is rustic but nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It felt like home.
The lake is only steps away. If I had to use only one word to describe our stay it would be relaxing!
We spent a lovely week at the cottage. The space is so cozy and the lake is beautiful. We had hot weather but even with no AC, the cross breeze and easy lake jumps kept us plenty cool. Loons were a treat!
Would not hesitate to return! The camp has everything you need. It’s old and just a little bit funky but oozing with charm, just how a lake cabin should be. Bedding was comfy, kitchen was stocked! Kayaks were a dream.
Thank you for having us!
The cottage is exactly as presented - cozy, quaint, and a little quirky. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen sufficiently equipped, and the views were great! The area was very quiet - very peaceful. Great communication with Dot. My dog Walnut and I enjoyed it very much.
We were looking for a quiet getaway and found the perfect spot. The wee white cottage was cozy and so charming. It provided us the perfect vacation Loved watching the ducks and having our coffee outside every morning.
We LOVED staying at the Wee White Cottage. We had so much fun using the kayaks and swimming to the lily pad dock. This lake spot is so peaceful - it was just what we needed. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and cozy.
We could only stay 3 nights but next time, we'd like to stay longer!

Adorable!
This was by far the cleanest and most adorable cottage we've ever stayed in. It was so cozy! The closeness to the lake was pretty awesome too. We didn't have the best weather our week, but enjoyed relaxing and reading in the cottage. We would definitely return to this little treasure.
We flew in to visit family. The Wee White Cottage was the perfect place to visit without the noise of a restaurant. Everyone came to us instead of us spending most of our time driving. The cottage is quaint, quiet and rustic. Kitchen had everything we needed to host dinners. No basic or cable television ended up being just what I needed to truly relax. Host had great communication. We will definitely return!
We spent the past month in paradise...truly. The Wee White Cottage was a retreat for the past 30 days, and from the moment of arrival to the very last day we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will DEFINITELY be returning.
A hidden gem, when you open the front door you are immediately taken aback as it is far more spacious than the photos imply. Open and airy, we found this perfect for two people. It was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was more comfortable than most at VRBO’s. A little on the rustic side, but not too much so, it felt like you could really relax and like you were not staying in “someone else’s home” but instead were hunkering down in your own comfy space. We LOVED the lake literally maybe 15 steps from the back door, and used the kayaks daily. The owners are AWESOME...timely with responses, caring, helpful. Dorthea was one of those VRBO owners who knows just how to deal with people well. Tripp Pond is so fun to explore! you simply MUST book with Dorthea and enjoy “our” little cottage!!
The cottage well depicted in pictures. Well equipped yet rustic. There is no room to enjoy indoor events of any kind or to sit for more than 1 or 2. TV reception non existent, wifi connection was good. The lakeside grounds are not for unsteady guests and the steps to dock are fairly steep, hazardous with pine needle droppings in the unrelenting rain for my stay.. The pine tree branches are low hanging and block a lot of the lakeview. Not a place I would rebook but I can see athletic parties who enjoy water activities liking it. The owner was responsive with good contact availability. Weather issues nothing owner can fix. In heavy rain there is a leak in kitchen near the left side of the microwave.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
I have come to Maine I was six with my family and friend’s rustic lake cabins, this cabin more accurately in need of some attention. The information on the website, as per the owner, was incorrect for getting on the Internet. After some back-and-forth, and paperwork scattered about, I discovered the Wi-Fi box and got the network and password from that. Internet is very spotty… But common on a lake in Maine. There lightbulb in the bathroom was out, there was no replacement. The bed is quite soft. The bedding is sparse and cheap, comforter that barely covers bed and uncomfortable pillows… same towels, bring your own. There’s no place to play a game or spread out a puzzle… Living room furniture is uncomfortable. As you can see from the pictures, carpets are fraying, wiring is concernining. It lists having a fire extinguisher, but I could not find one. I would suggest letting your guest know where the fire extinguisher is and including fire blankets. It was generally “clean”, it didn’t feel cleanCommunication was a little difficult as I prefer the app, but she communicated by a phone call, text, email and on the app. Difficult to follow conversation. At checkout, I was unable to locate any of the things I was meant to use for garbage, recycling, and aluminum and glass. I took my recycling with me.
We loved staying here. Dot thought of everything we might need and made sure our stay was pleasant and effortless. Our stay was peaceful, calm, and off the beaten path. The location on the lake was beautiful and we spent hours just sitting in the Adirondack chairs, absorbing the peace and quiet. Perfect location near our relatives in Casco. This has become my favorite vacation spot EVER!
I couldn't have asked for more. The cottage has such a wonderful feel. Lots of natural light, cozy with a high ceiling, comfortable couch and bed, lovely lighting at night. Being able to kayak around the lake in the fall (had it to myself) is something I won't forget. So quiet aside from birdsong (loons!). Good location for access to hikes, golf, flea markets, grocery store, pretty much everything you need. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Loved the cozy cottage and quiet location. Right on the water, with beautiful views and kayaks included which was a plus. We saw ducks, loons and an eagle. Nice local hiking trails in the area as well. Great places to eat nearby too. Would love to stay here next summer, to fully enjoy all this tiny cottage has to offer- like swimming from your own private dock, cooking on the gas grill, sitting around the camp fire pit, reading in the hammock and falling asleep to the sound of the loons.
