Perfect location and getaway
This is a beautiful property in a wonderful spot on Flathead Lake that made for a perfect long weekend getaway. The owners were very helpful and accommodating before and during our stay which made it even better! The location on Finley Point was private, the accommodations were 5-star, and it had a spectacular view of the lake from the back patio and beach area. We hope to return in the future!

Beautiful home & scenery
The home was beautiful and we had a great vacation. Barb & Bob we’re great hosts, making sure we had all we needed and then some! The kids enjoyed the beach area, searching & skipping rocks like crazy. Kayaks were available and an adventurous trip to nearby islands was had. They played basketball & tennis everyday on the property. There were plenty of amenities for us to cook & the private patio and grilling area went to good use. Overall it was a very peaceful and wonderful place to stay.

While we wanted to visit this area to see Glacier National Park, my most vivid memory is relaxing on the patio of this beautiful home, listening to the waves off of Flathead Lake lap onto the shore, and watching the local deer wander around the property foraging for food. The hosts, Barb and Bob, could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating, providing everything from a different skillet so we could make omelets, to the use of their kayaks to tour the lake. They even provided a tour of the lake on their boat. While the hikes we took in the park were incredible with the grandeur of the lakes, waterfalls, and mountains, this wonderful location was worth the trip on its own.

Incredible vacation on Finley Point
You can not choose a better place to stay when visiting Flathead Lake. This home has everything you could need and more. The views are amazing from every bedroom and dock. It is extremely peaceful and plenty to do right from the house such as kayaking, swimming, skipping rocks, hiking, cliff jumping, tennis and more. There are four kayaks for the guests to use and a boat tour with Bob is a must! There are many activities within an hour of the house such as Glacier, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking and more. But you can easily spend a week just at the house! Thank you Barb and Bob for providing us a much needed week of rest and relaxation!

Wow! This is a truly special property. I've stayed at many rental homes but this one was really incredible. EVERYTHING about this place was top notch! And the hosts . . . wow! They are the nicest people you'll ever meet. They were always there when you need them but somehow were never intrusive either. We really felt like family. I had some doubts about sharing the building (they're right above you) but it was never an issue whatsoever. Great people and we really miss them as much as the property and the great state of Montana. Book it!!! You will not regret it.

Can’t beat this one!
We take a Memorial Day trip every year with the kids and staying at The Cove has been our favorite. Barb and Bob are amazing hosts and there was so much to do on our 4 day stay that we only left the property once. Kayaking to the islands, tennis, relaxing by the water and not to mention the comfortable entertainment room for movies, we were never bored. The view was beyond amazing! We would highly suggest bringing your own food instead of going out to eat to save you the hassle. The kitchen is very well stocked:)

We are own a piece of property on Finley point but we don’t have a house on the property and we’re planning on building so it’s great to stay here so we can work on our place. A trip we will never forget!
We came to this magical spot on a whim and everything bit of it was unforgettable. From the two lakeside bedrooms, the amount of wildlife and deer, the perfect sized kitchen, the kayaks and rock features, the tennis court, and the most kind and warming hosts of all. We went to Glacier one day but honestly were eager to get back because just being at the property was the vacation we dreamed of... our three year old was in heaven and even got in the Fall lake water many times. We hope to come back!

A Perfect Vacation!
We absolutely loved our eight-night stay at this gorgeous property! We’ve all traveled extensively and the four of us (two couples) agreed that this home and its location was truly exquisite among the many top travel destinations we’ve enjoyed. To stay at this property affords the discerning traveler the very rare opportunity to experience one of the most desirable areas on Flathead Lake in a stunning home. Barb and Bob could not have been more lovely — very welcoming, warm and kind. Their gracious, yet unobtrusive brand of hospitality ensured we were able to experience everything the property offers: tennis, kayaking, bbq’ing, hiking, morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the lake-level deck situated on the private beach in a protected cove. Bob took us for an afternoon boat tour of the lake that included a short hike on Wild Horse Island — a must see — and insisted we take his cans of bear spray with us on our day trip to Glacier National Park (very expensive had we purchased ourselves). And yet, we felt as if we had the property all to ourselves — very secluded. Of course, we did indeed have the private guest quarters to ourselves with private, separate access. One would never know that the owners live in the main home on the same property — it’s so quiet and peaceful. To hear the waves lapping at the pebble beach below our open windows at night was magical! Photos just don’t do this home justice. The decor is beautiful and every detail has been thought of. We truly felt as if we were guests in a seven-star luxury hotel bungalow and look forward to staying again the next time we visit Flathead Lake!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days at The Cove on Flathead Lake! The house is just as advertised; very private with spectacular views of the lake. We spent one day renting a power boat to tour and hang out on the lake. The other day we spent at the cove touring the islands by kayak, swimming and enjoying the sun filled decks. We would definitely recommend The Cove to a couple or family looking to visit Flathead area.

The Perfect Vacation
This is a breathtakingly beautiful property with a delightfully decorated home, views fit for paintings practically everywhere you look, outdoor activities galore, and all the amenities needed for deep rest and relaxation. Add to all of this the warm hospitality of Barb and Bob, and you have a recipe for the perfect vacation. A few words about the property (which pictures cannot do justice): The home has highground to each side, and the private cove is flanked with outcrops and cliffs, providing privacy and a feeling of seclusion. This sets a tone that affects everything about the stay. The apartment is on the lower level of the main home and is decorated exquisitely. Everything is high-quality—from the tiling to the furniture to the electronics. The stone stairs from the apartment to the water wind through a lush garden and end at a waterside wooden deck with driftwood furniture. (The furniture was handcrafted by Barb and Bob and is as comfortable as it is beautiful.) The multicolored pebble beach ramps gently into crystal-clear water. The 15-foot cliff to the right is situated perfectly for jumping into the lake—and for watching fiery sunsets. Kayaks are at the ready for paddling along the shoreline or out to 6 little islands in the near distance. Paddling to the islands takes 10 or 15 minutes. Each island has its own, unique character—and one houses a massive bald eagles’ nest atop its largest tree. Eagles soar the sky regularly, and often bicker with Ospreys in the treetops above the cove. In addition to all of that, the property has walking trails, pear orchards, a tennis court, a basketball court, and more. We could go on. But the above paints a general picture of the property and the kind of vacation it affords. Suffice it to say that this was one of the most enjoyable, most rejuvenating vacations we’ve ever taken. We’ll be back as often as we can manage. Thank you, Barb and Bob, for creating this little Heaven on Earth—and for being such kind and accommodating hosts!

This property is extremely special. The property itself without the home is special being surrounded by beautiful views, privacy from the rock ledges, and a beautiful rock beach. Add in the home and it made our stay spectacular. The home is just a few short steps away from one of the most beautiful coves. Lay amongst the stars on the lakeside patio or listen the splashing waves in your bedroom at night. Kayak around the peaceful lake. Bob has a world of knowledge about Montana and the surroundings. One of my favorite places we have stayed through VRBO and AirBnb's.

Wow, Wow, Wow!
What an incredible property on the lake. One of the few properties with views of both sides of the lake and with a private beach. We were two couples WFH (30s), Barb and Bob upgraded the internet for our stay and given how remote the location is the internet worked well (without using video). Bob and Barb were more than hospitable, with lots of tips for the lake and restaurant suggestions. The house is in perfect condition/spotless and much larger than the photos suggest. The property is breathtaking and felt like a private house even though Bob and Barb live in the main house. Plenty of options for activities, kayaks, tennis, boating and hikes.(Glacier National Park a must!!!) Will be back again. Would recommend for WFH and a relaxing stay. Prime location, cant recommend this property enough! Thank you Bob and Barb!!!!

Could not say enough great things about this place. This has become our new favorite vacation spot. The accommodations are top notch, the views are amazing! Stunning property. The view from the deck on the lake is magical. Barb and Bob were sweet and helpful. I would urge caution for anyone with mobility issues. There are a lot of lovely stone stairs to the unit and more to the beach. There is a sense of wonderful peace, especially when near the water.

Our own private paradise
My wife and teenage daughter had the privilege to stay at Bob and Barbs amazing property. The beach could not be more perfect, our own private cove with a amazing deck, jumping rock, kayaks, and fire pit it had everything you need to relax. The living space is a very large apartment on the lower level of their house and is very private with amazing lake views. Bob and Barb gave us all the privacy we needed but were always around if we had questions about the property, lake or the local area. This is truly the gem of flathead lake and not to be missed if you have a chance to stay here. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back!!

Barb and Bob are wonderful host. The sunsets are amazing and the property is a special place that you don't want to pass on if you get the chance to stay here. Bob took us for a boat ride and Barb and Bob gave us wonderful advice on local restaurants. We saw eagles, osprey, grizzlies(on a hike), deer, and big horn ram during our visit. Kayaked, rafted, hiked, and went to Glacier National Park. We hope we have the opportunity to return!

The Perfect Lake Experience
I stayed at this beautiful home over the week of 4th of July. Barb and Bob went out of their way to accommodate our needs! The home was beautiful with attention to detail everywhere you looked. The private beach was amazing! The lake was crystal clear and the views were breath taking! Barb and Bob made us fell right at home. They provided us a full list of local attractions and activities, restaurants they have enjoyed and even a private boat tour of the lake (small additional charge). I will definitely book with them again I am in the Flathead Lake area!

One of the best vacations ever!
One of the best vacations ever! I don't even know where to begin. The privacy of the cove at this home made all of the difference. Barb and Bob's home is towards the end of Finley point. The cove is unbelievable and the view is spectacular! We had our own private beach with clear calm waters. You really don't need to leave the property to enjoy yourself. We had kayaks available which we took full advantage of. Our husbands went fishing off the point, didn't catch anything but thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The home itself completely lends itself to relaxation. We spent one day in glacier national Park, came home through Whitefish on our way and had dinner, great little town to spend some time in. We went to Polson for grocery shopping, only about a 15 minute drive. While we were in Polson we drove up to the Kerr damn, great experience. If you are concerned about the owners living above you, don't worry about it. They are as involved or uninvolved as you would like them to be. If you choose to, you likely would not see them other than the beginning or the end of your stay. We were so happy to have them there, they made the experience that much better. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. Bob took us out on his boat for about three hours. He gave us a lot of local and historical information, he was very interesting to spend time with. Barb was very gracious, we spent a few hours with them one evening before we left and had great conversation with them both. We went for a long walks around the point, saw several deer throughout our stay. We also took advantage of their tennis court. The views from both bedrooms are amazing! I could go on and on but just know you can't go wrong with renting this home. As other reviewer said, this is one place that we stayed that we would definitely love to go back to!

The most beautiful property on Flathead Lake!
We were in awe when we arrived a Bob and Barb's home. The setting, the lake, the pebble beach and the architecture of the house far exceeded our expectations. The photos really do not do this home and property justice. The home is in a very unique setting at the tip of Finley point on a very private pebble beach with rock cliffs on both sides. The sunset from the patio was stunning. The only other inhabitants were the nesting eagles and osprey along with an occasional passing boat. This may be the best lot on the lake - and that is saying a lot - it's a big lake. Our family of six spent nearly every waking moment outside - on the patio, beach, swimming, jumping of a 25 ft rock cliff, kayaking, playing tennis, hiking, jet skiing and boating. The list of things to do here is endless. We are avid tennis players and the tennis court is one of the most well maintained outdoor courts I have every played on. We kayaked nearly every day, usually out to a few uninhabited islands that were home to nesting eagles. We even hung our hammocks on the island and slept there one night. The pebble beach is ideal for swimming and the kids had a blast jumping off the rock cliff right on the property. Bob even took us out boating for a few hours. He gave us tour and history of the lake and pulled the kids on an innertube. Bob and Barb are the most wonderful hosts and they were very concerned that we enjoy ourselves. As an example, the winch motor for Bob's boat malfunctioned while we were there. To make sure we got out on a boat trip he spent nearly 3 hours manually launching and retrieving the boat. I felt guilty seeing him work so hard, but it just goes to show what wonderful people they are and how important it is to them that their guests enjoy their stay. I have now stayed at around 20 homes through VRBO and HomeAway. This home and the hosts are one of the best. I had some reservations about staying here with the owners still on-site. However, you will soon realize that having Bob and Barb as your hosts is and incredible plus.
