Great location

Very nice and clean place with everything you need and a very short walk to the beach and restaurants/café bars. Very nice back patio and bbq . Catrina was amazing and very helpful when we called her for info . We would stay here again when we come back.

A wonderful time was had by all. Our host Catarina was lovely. She helped us out and advised us on a few points. Our accommodation was pristine if not a bit noisy during the day but quieted at night. We loved the location. We could walk to the beach and local bars and restaurants within 5 minutes. So relaxing and fun!

Catarina is awesome, super helpful and takes care of her tenants like it’s her family. She was really kind and brought us fans the day of our arrival since the property doesn’t have AC (which was not a big deal given the climate in the Azores is perfect! The house has plenty of towels, is family friendly and has a great backyard for hanging out at night. The only, and it really is the only, downfall is the level of noise on the street. It wasn’t bad after a few days (we got used to it!). Catarina also was incredible for organizing our car rental for us! Thank you again Catarina and hope to see you in the Azores again soon!

The accommodations were excellent and very clean and the host was very helpful!!!! The road noise at night can be loud but the neighborhood is friendly. Short walk to the beach and some good restaurants by the water.

Check in was seamless, Catarina is absolutely lovely and gave us some great tips. House was clean, lots of towels and amenities. Noise on street was unbearable and due to no A/C had to leave the windows open, other than that house was great for families. We enjoyed our stay- thank you!

Loved, very clean, convenient to everything, pleasant walk to beach.

We loved everything about the house, the location was perfectly central while not being in a touristy area. Easy walk to the beach. Private patio in back was lovely. House was spotless and appeared newly renovated. Quick drive to all the best locations. Catarina is very hospitable and made the whole process incredibly simple. We will be back for certain.

Wonderful home base for a Sao Miguel vacation

Stayed at Casa da Catarina for a week. The house is lovely and served as a comfortable and welcoming place for us as we explored the island. Catarina is a wonderful hostess and made us feel at home. She checked in with us to make sure we were doing ok midway during our stay. Would highly recommend this house for a visit to Sao Miguel. Obtigado Catarina.

This spacious 3bedroom casa was located in the heart of all the festivities & 2 blocks to the beach & restaurants. Went here to learn my culture & got so much more by staying here. The owner & locals around this property go above & beyond to make you feel part of everything. This private but yet modern casa is a 10+ on my list. Would stay here again or move in if possible. Lol. PERFECT LOCATION.

House was nicely updated and clean. Hostess is extremely accommodating and speaks excellent English. Communication was great. Located close to beach and jogging paths. Parking right out front of house.

Catarina was very helpful. The house was clean and centrally located. A little smaller than the pictures, but was roomy enough for the 5 of us. My only complaint would be no air conditioner/fans and no dryer. Would rent from her again.

Great property in ideal location

Very comfortable property, well kitted out in a good location, around 10 minutes drive from Ponta Delgada centre, and really close to some lovely beaches along the South Coast, including Popilo (only 10 minutes walk) with its lovely beach and beach bar Catarina, our host, was great, really helpful with tips for sightseeing or restaurants and also provided us with some lovely treats in the property. Also the property is only a few minutes walk to a lovely local beach (Milicias) but property was on quite a busy road so walking and parking a bit tricky and a bit noisy at night for our little ones. Property might suit older families better. Sao Roque is an upcoming area and makes a great place to stay on the island, really easy access to all the main roads to get you to all the amazing places on the island. The Azores is must-see place to visit and this is a great place to be.

Beautiful modern house next to the beach!

Me and my family loved this modern apartment that was in a suburb of the main city. It was a 5 minute walk from an awesome black sand beach and about 2 minute drive to another awesome beach. Its about 10 minute drive to the airport or downtown. The apartment was super modern and impeccably clean. It had all the things needed to feel at home. The beds were comfy and the place was roomy. My kids really enjoyed the outside patio/terrace that had a picnic table under the open sky. The only negatives were the street noise by the main bedrooms and the stairs were a little precarious for little children and clumsy wives. All in all we would stay there again without a doubt. It was priced great and the host was amazing.

Very nice house

The house of Catarina is very modern and comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is more than enough for a group of 6. It was very clean, enough towels were provided, there was also soap and shampoo in the shower, toilet paper, etc. You don't need to bring any of these! There is a little bar just in front to drink coffee in the morning. The house is 5-10 minutes by car from the center of Ponta Delgada. We didn't have the opportunity to meet the host, Catarina, but she made all her best to help us find the house and so that we feel comfortable from day 1. She even sent couple of times messages to check that everything was ok. If I had to give a remark, a dishwasher would be a nice addition, but it's only a detail. All in all, we really appreciated our stay, thanks Catarina !
