This hotel was in a great location yet quiet surroundings. It was walkable to the main avenue, public pool, shopping center and restaurants. All modern and recently renovated. Very clean and the receptionist was very pleasant and accommodating. They even allowed us to leave our luggage in a special area for the day, since our flight was later in the evening. Highly recommend this hotel for the price.

Decent old-style hotel
Decent old-style Iberian hotel. Right in the old town centre but very peaceful. Good for what it is and if you manage your expectations accordingly. Though some of the bedsheets should have retired a long time ago.

Hotel Camoes was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They had a tasty complimentary breakfast each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived and needed to charge our phones and didn't have the Euro outlet converter. They helped us charge up until we found what we needed from the local shop. Last but not least, they're centrally located and close to everything in the city. Thid place is equivalent to a hotel in Times Square as far as location goes. We were walking distance to everything!

Great customer service & clean facility!!!
I booked this hotel for 4 night for family vacation but my flight was cancelled,so I stayed there for just one night.The lady at the front desk was very nice as they didn’t expect me because of my flight cancellation but they were able to get me one of the cleanest and the best rooms in their facility.The whole facility is very clean and I will stay there anytime I visit the Island.

The hotel is in a good area to stay with a lot of restaurants and sights in walking distance. It is an older hotel and style slightly outdated in terms of the rooms but they were spacious and had large bathrooms. There is a staff member at the desk 24 hours a day

Old school hotel worked out great. Not looking for frills, just a pleasant place to sleep and the Camoes was comfortable, quiet and everything worked.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. Lovely staff, big room and very good breakfast. Some details of the the room could be updated (TV, shower curtains), but overall a very nice stay!

Great location - Good rooms with good amenities. Staff was great and very helpful, A little bit of a language barrier at times. Included breakfast was not up to a 4 star rating. Good, but not great.

Neat older hotel. Clean and in a good location. Close to all the activities in Ponta Delgada. TV could be updated. Was there only for one night so did not experience all the accommodations. Got in late and had to leave very early to catch a flight. Would stay there again.

The only negative was Expedia not following thru on reserving our room. The hotel staff went out of their way to resolve the issue caused by Expedia.

We had a wonderful experience and would stay here again. It is a quaint, older hotel situated in downtown Ponta Delgada that makes you feel like your home when you are there. It was very reasonably priced and had unexpected amenities including free breakfast, room service, it’s own nice restaurant, and a breakfast snack for the ride back to the airport. It is not the ritz or some fancy 5 star hotel - it’s better!

Good location, dated rooms
Pros: hotel is well located, in the city centre near the marina. The rooms are very clean. Cons: hotel a bit dated, the bathroom plumber needs to be fixed. Average breakfast. Damp smell in some rooms. There were a flooding in my bedroom and they gave me another room which was much smaller. Some of the employee were nice and polite but others were not polite nor helpful.
