"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. "We loved the hotel! Its location and views are absolutely to die for. I could have spent our whole trip in the pool just taking in the views and enjoying the serenity. The staff were amazing. We did make one mistake , when you check in they offer you half board at 20 euros a person for a 3 course dinner but you have to do it for your entire stay. We opted not to and ate at several other restaurants which did not have the views , the service , the ambience or the quality of the food at the odyssey. So don’t make the same mistake we did!!"
