Pleasant Surprise

Four days before our check in we were informed our vacay rental would not be ready due to hurricane repairs. Mimosa Cove was one of the alternate choices. Incredible location, beautiful decor, clean, stocked and open spaces.

June Get Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very nice and secluded. We took our 14 month old English Mastiff puppy for her first trip to the beach. We all had a blast. I am giving the house 4 stars only because of the A/C. It did struggle keeping the cabin cool every evening. Other than that our stay was great. Would also like to say thank you to Cobb for arranging to meet us late to pick up the keys.

Our Favorite Place on the Bolivar

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the Camelot! This was the 4th year in a row that we have stayed in this wonderful home on the beach. The location is perfect. It is just steps from the water. You can sit on the balcony and look at the water or walk down and be right on the beach. It is pretty private. There are no close neighbors. There is a beautiful view out of every window. The Camelot is also affordable. This trip we stayed three weeks and were still not ready to leave. As a matter of fact, we are ready to go back. The staff at Cobb Real Estate are always very helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure our stay is great every single time. The Camelot is so great that I really don't want to review it because I am afraid to get the word out and not be able to book this fabulous place because if more people knew, it would always be fully booked. LOL Thank you Cobb for everything!

Two Week Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this budget friendly rental. The location is right on the beach and only a short drive to stores and restaurants. The Nauti Beaver Hut is a fun place to hang out with fun activities and good music on the weekends. Tia Juanita’s is a must for us when we stay in Bolivar! If you are bringing small dogs, the gate at the driveway has gaps they can get through, so I recommend bringing something to put in front of it. There are sticker burrs so wear shoes when walking through the yard to the beach.

Just Perfect !!!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect place, right by the beach. The house had everything you needed and was clean and nice. The location was so good, sit on the terrace and enjoy the sunrise and sunset, and for a swim in the sea, just a step away. The Big Store had everything you needed for the holiday, we cooked a few dinners in the house, and went out to eat at Stingaree, and Jose's, highly recommended. As we are bird watchers this is a perfect place to be, lots of birds by the house, not far to Bolivar flats, Anahuac, Smiths Point. We recommend this house, and will gladly come back another time. Thanks :-)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Camelot as long as I can remember. When we arrived yesterday, we were tremendously impressed that it was even more welcoming than ever. Please thank whoever was responsible for getting the house clean and inviting, with sheets already on the bed, towels and washcloths arranged in the bathrooms ~ even a supply of toilet paper, trash bags and dish/dishwasher detergents in a "goodie bag" on the kitchen counter. We were thankful that you had managed to mow the lawn, despite all the recent rains. As you know, the fence around the property is precarious at best. However we are appreciative of whoever propped it up with six large pieces of lumber to hold it in place for a while longer. There wasn't a chain on the main gate, and I had to dig the gate to the beach out of sand that prevented it from closing. However, I was able to secure both gates with bungee cords, so I'm confident the dogs can't escape. Thanks for being such an awesome property manager. We are very appreciative!

The Camelot Is Our Favorite Place To Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love staying at the Camelot In Caplen on the Bolivar Peninsula in Texas. The location is the best all around because it is so close to the water and you aren't surrounded by neighbors. It is very private. The beach in front isn't crowded. The house has great views from the windows too. You can sit on the back balcony and see the ocean and sit on the front balcony and see the intercoastal waterway. The house is clean and designed with an open concept. Plenty of room for my husband and I along with our family who came to stay with us one of the weekends we were there. We stayed almost three weeks and still weren't ready to leave. Cobb Real Estate is the absolute best to work with. They go above and beyond. Airbnb and VRBO don't give you a beach bag and the best lip balm ever. We have stayed here several years and never once have we had any problems. The truth is I really don't want to review this property because it is a hidden gen and I am afraid to get the word out in fear of not being able to find it available when we want it. LOL But I promise you will love Cobb Real Estate and the Camelot.

There are no immediately adjacent neighbors so it feels private. The furnishings are comfortable and the appliances seem relatively new and in good working order. We love the Camelot

Wonderful, Private Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family just returned from a 3 day stay at Camelot. This house is right on the beach and very private. My husband, myself and 2 adult children had plenty of space in the house. Our 2 small dogs enjoyed the house too. The house is close to the High Island bird sanctuaries and is a great location for birders. I made 3 trips to the sanctuaries to view migrating warblers and the egret/spoonbill rookery. This is our second time in this house and we will return.

The yard was full of cuckleburs, not very conducive for a pet friendly rental. We paid for the linen services and the sheets for the king bed were to small to fit the bed. All in all we had a great visit and will definitely stay at the Camalot in the future.

Wonderful Stay At The Camelot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an incredible time staying at the Camelot on the Bolivar Peninsula. The house was in the perfect location, just steps to the water. What a view from every window in the house! We could see the ocean from the back balcony and the ships and barges on the intercoastal waterway from the front balcony. The beach was peaceful. We felt safe on the beach at all times. We rented golf carts and explored the peninsula. We built a fire at night on the beach. We found so many great shells, not just ordinary shells, the kind you search to find the perfect one, just like the Camelot. While it wasn't perfect, it was perfect for us. It was our favorite place to stay so far. We were able to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary and still remain Covid responsible. We could just walk back and forth from our house to the beach and not see anyone if we didn't want to. With no close neighbors, I could play my guitar and sing on the balcony without worrying if I was bothering anyone. The place was affordable and everything we could want in a beach house. The only complaint I would have is that the internet and cable wasn't very good. But that ended up being a blessing to escape for a while. I could still get internet on my phone in case I needed it. Cobb Real Estate was great to work with. We hope to stay at here again next year. I highly recommend the Camelot.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at this property before and it met my expectations. This year, it did not. I realize that the owners nor the real estate people have no control over the hurricanes, but the main reason I rented this property is for the yard. I paid $100 extra to bring my dog. About 2 days before my arrival, I was told that the fence was down and could not be repaired. We went anyway. It was a lot of work walking my dog each time they needed to go outside. The stairs are brutal!Also, there is a rotted place in the floor by the locking door. Also the underpinning has plywood and insulation missing from a year and a half ago.Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
