This stay was average. The Blink doorbell and discreetly placed outdoor Blink cameras made us feel like we were being listened to and recorded every time we sat on the deck or went outside. We didn't want to use hot tub for similar reasons. (It made us wonder if we needed to search for hidden cameras inside???) There was a blood stain on the master bed pillow which was very disturbing, but we travel with our own pillows so we didn't need it. The washing machine didn't work. It got clothes wet and wouldn't spin them. That was disappointing. We intentionally packed lightly because we planned to wash clothes. There weren't tvs in the bedrooms. (My bad for not noticing that on the pictures, and assuming bedrooms had tvs.) Overall, it was clean and okay. We likely won't stay again and will look for another property when we return to the area.

This home had everything we needed plus some. Home was super cute and very clean. Didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub but they did have it heated and ready to go before we got there. Quite and relaxing neighborhood just steps away from the beach

The property was very clean and beautiful. It came with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The owners decorated for Christmas and provided us with the most beautiful tree for the holiday. Altogether it was very welcoming and warm. A very pleasant stay!

Took a quick trip to the beach for a relaxing weekend and this home was just what we needed. Very clean in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen fully stocked and the beds were very comfortable! The hot tub was amazing and just what we needed. Definitely will rent again.

Great Girls weekend
This was a great house for me and my 3 close friends. We enjoyed the hot tub and loved sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the gulf. The house was clean and comfortable. If I’m ever in the area again I would rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jacob's home. The house was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you might need. The neighborhood was quiet and well cared for. The neighbors were friendly and the short walk to the beach was fantastic. What more can I say? It was a Perfect Get Away.

Nice property.
We stayed at this property for 4 nights recently. Overall it was a good experience. The host responded immediately to some of our concerns but we were very disappointed to find that there was no outside furniture. The host did explain that he was in the process of replacing/repairing them and did issue us a slight discount when we asked about that but we probably would not have rented this house had we known this beforehand. Also this was not the host’s fault but there were also a tremendous number of mosquitoes so bring a lot of bug spray if you visit this area!!!!

Last minute trip
Really clean & super comfortable beds/couch, nicely decorated, updated house. It was perfect for our family of 4. The house had a wonderful hot tub and nice outside shower. The walk to the beach was not bad but we rented a golf cart anyway. It has a private beach access road in a really nice neighborhood. Everything was perfect.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this very clean and beautiful house. Has just about every kitchen appliance/accessories you could need. The hot tub is perfect! And Jacob is very good at responding quickly to any questions you might have as well. You can tell he truly wants his guests to have the best time possible. Would definitely return!

Great stay!
Great house!! Comfy EVERYTHING- from pillows to sofa! Kitchen had all the necessities. The hot tub was wonderful as well! One thing I wish we did was rent a golf cart ahead of time!! It would make Beach access better. But it’s only a short walk from the house.

Hate to complain but…
While the house was cute it was EXTREMELY dirty. Enough to where I feel the need to leave a negative review. The floor was filthy as if it had never seen a mop. If you were to be barefoot your feet would be charcoal black within 30 min. Every surface of the kitchen/dining/living room was sticky. The living room area had food crumbs all over the place and in the furniture, rugs were stained, shower had hair in it. I could go on. It’s upsetting because you don’t get to check in until 4 being that the reason is for the “cleaning crew to clean after the last guest” we were not very happy to have waited until the day is almost over just to show up to a dirty house. Thank goodness the sheets/towels were washed or we would not have stayed. Also nearly ALL the cute lights downstairs by the hot tub were out, so it didn’t look like the picture, and the hot tub had functional issues as well.

Very sorry to hear that Crystal, that is not normal. I’ll be making some changes. I tell all my guests to let me know if any issues and I’ll work on fixing them right away. If I had been made aware of this I’d have happily made it right.

We arrived to location at 12:30am. Key was not where owner said it would be (safe). We tried messaging him but there’s no direct number to communicate with him to tell him couldn’t get in because there was no key. After an hour of waiting and trying to get in and communicate with him we found the key under doormat. He emailed me the next day just to tell me that the previous guest did not follow instructions. As the owner it’s his job to assure key is where he said it would be and not under doormat. Completely unprofessional. I would NOT recommend staying here. I know I wouldn’t.

Sorry again Ana. Going forward, I’ll be making sure that each guest has followed the check out instructions to place the key back in the lock for the next guest. I’ll also ask guests to check in before midnight, as I will most likely be sleeping and unable to help until morning. As any of my past guests would tell you, I’m quick to respond at all times throughout the day. Unfortunately the first message I have from you was at 2am and I haven’t figured out how to respond in my sleep, but I’m working on it!

We had a few issues, but they were resolved. We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and so clean. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a wonderful beach get away. Unless you have trouble with stairs.

My family of 4 stayed at this wonderful house! It is close enough to the beach to walk and the house is really clean. There were plenty of plates, kitchen cookware, and towels for us to use. The neighborhood was quite wnd family friendly.

The owner of this property seems nice but the rental needs some work. He was communicative however the communication wasn’t overly helpful. When we first arrived we noticed immediately that the front door was broken or possibly just not installed properly. We were asked to be gentle with it but nobody was sent out to take a look at it. It was impossible to be gentle because it took a lot of force to open and close it. Next thing was some of the items advertised in the pictures weren’t there like all the bedding to turn the sofa into a bed. The hot tub was filthy which is one of the main reasons we booked this place. We told the owner and we’re advised that the cleaners forgot to clean it and told we could go buy stuff to clean it ourselves and be reimbursed or wait for Amazon. The kids were still insistent on using it and when they did I saw an alert on the screen saying the filter was 5 days overdue to be changed. The garbage disposal was inoperable and appeared to be seized up but we were told the handyman could come out this time however as long as the sink was draining it wasn’t a huge concern so we opted to just leave it be but worried about it backing up. The rocking chairs out front weren’t assembled properly with the bolts loose and wobbled about and the same with some of the chairs inside. All the lights would pulse on and off every time you ran the dishwasher, washer or dryer. The TV in the main living room was difficult to work with 3 remotes and no instructions and the tvs in the rooms weren’t setup and just left in the closets. Supplies that we needed like a broom weren’t located by us to until our last day because it wasn’t easy to find and there wasn’t a welcome letter that told us anything so we were picking debris off of the floor by hand during our stay. It’s obvious the surface decor was thought about but the little details were not like the soap wasn’t put into a dispenser and rather in a large refill jug and the bathroom rugs wouldn’t dry as soon as they were wet unless they were put outside. Pros: Great and quiet little neighborhood. The house is close to the beach and the outdoor shower was really nice. The beach is clean and it wasn’t crowded

Thanks Stephanie. I want you to know that I addressed everything you mentioned as soon as you checked out. I wish I had known you weren’t happy with the solutions I offered. I’m happy to send out my repairman, cleaner or technician during a stay but only if the guest is okay with the interruption. Whatever I can do to earn a better review! A couple notes: The door hinge has been replaced. My cleaner is now going to vacuum the hot tub between each stay in addition to the maintenance schedule we always keep (except for this one exception which I’m very sorry about). The water is regularly drained and the filters have been replaced. The garbage disposal was replaced with a new one. The soap dispenser mysteriously went missing and I didn’t know this until after this review. I ordered a replacement and 5 backups. I had my cleaner locate and ensure that the items to convert the couch to a (very comfy) twin bed are there. I don’t believe I advertised the extra TVs in the closets. I plan on upgrading them and mounting new/bigger ones, but instead of tossing the old ones decided to leave them around as a bonus for kids. I don’t ask or expect guests to do a thorough cleaning so I don’t typically tell them where the brooms and other supplies are unless they ask. Great suggestion though. I’ll start to do that!

Had a great time at the property. The only "bad" things I'd point out are the ants in the kitchen and bugs in the hot tub so we couldn't use it. I'm not a bug person at all lol. Other than that, great property and love that it was walking distance to the beach.

House was clean and well stocked for everyday needs.
We had a couple sunny days and a day of gloomy overcast weather but it was not a problem because there was a hot tub. We slept comfortably each night. Kitchen appliances were clean and in working order. Kitchen was stacked for all my cooking needs. Looking forward to another beach getaway!
