"Hi all. I stayed at the Comis hotel for a week. First the hotel and staff were great my only problem was the food so here goes. I ordered a famous Manx Kipper it was the first time I ever had a crispy Kipper it was horrible, I ordered a stake all I got was the stake and half a tomato I had to pay extra for the chips this cost me say about £38 +. The menu when I arrived was the same as the day I arrived and that was only 6 or 7 main meals, the breakfast was not much better over cooked, dry. The special board was the same for the full week. So to finish off, Hotel great, staff great, food O/10 it was rubbish KFC was good one night."

"Absolutely spotless throughout. All the utensils which were needed were provided. The view from the Sunset (first floor) lounge was spectacular especially the sunsets.To be able to park a car either next to or in front of the garage was most useful.The garden was an extra bonus. To be able to sit out with a pre-dinner drink and admire the view was excellent. The shaded area with the bench seat was perfect.The Host and Bay View Cottage richly deserved the Gold Award.We had a wonderful stay and we will not hesitate to recommend the property to others."

"My double room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the bed was enormous, however the mattress was a bit too firm for me but that’s just personal choice . The furniture and carpets were a bit old fashioned but functional. I would say a larger armchair would be useful if watching TV rather than sitting on the bed . Everything you could need in the room , TV , tea & coffee , shower gels etc .Breakfast plentiful in fact I had to request a bit less for me . The host was lovely , very friendly and welcoming . The Athol park is just a short walk from the bus , railway ,beach but it is a bit uphill from all of those and there is no lift at the property so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Saying that , I would certainly stay again and recommend it."

"Beautiful property, bit of a strange layout which meant we got our steps in running up and down stairs which would have been a bit of a worry had the children been younger but other than that it was beautiful. Large enough for all of us to gather together for meals but enough shared space for us to spread out when needed. Well equipped with pots, pans and crockery and the location and views are stunning."

"A brilliant location. Bus stops right in the square, you can get anywhere on the Island. The George is a bit tired but the staff and location makes up for it. Really enjoyed our stay"
