Moyne Cottage Port Fairy

Moyne Cottage is situated in a great location. 3 blocks walk or drive to the main street (shopping, hotels, post office, restaurants, supermarket etc).
You can also walk to the East Beach - walk past 4 houses and you are there. Surf Life Saving Club less than 50m from Cottage.
Electric cooking and heating (also an open wood fire). Laundry includes washing machine and clothes dryer.
DVD player and video player and TV and CD/Radio available for your use.
The two lounge rooms make for peace and a great view of the river from the front lounge room. Value for money.

Locality

Port Fairy is situated 20 kilometres from Warrnambool and approximately 100 kilometres from The Twelve Apostles at Port Campbell on the Great Ocean Road. Tower Hill, a nature reserve and extinct volcanoe is 10 kilometres away from the Cottage. The Crags and Yambuk Lake are 10km and 15km respectively west of Port Fairy. Beautiful scenic coastal locations, offering great fishing, walks and sightseeing

Cosy cottage in wonderful locatiom

Plenty of space and beds. And had everything we needed for our stay. Cottage was clean, but maybe needed abit of love and a good spring clean, dust behind beds etc. Easy instructions on entry. Overall we enjoyed our stay.And price for pur stay was reasonable.

Port Fairy home away from home

Spacious accommodation with brilliant views of the river. The two bathrooms make sharing simple. Lots of beds. Fully equipped kitchen, self catering made easy. Lovely walk into town and across the dunes to the beach within minutes. Fabulous value.

A delightful older style, extremely comfortable large home and garden in just the perfect spot, overlooking the beautiful Moyne River with the beach behind and everything walking distance, with everything you could possibly need, including a very helpful host, when we needed her.

A great holiday

I love staying at this cottage with my family. The first time we visited Moyne Cottage was 25 years ago. The house has “soul” and it’s wonderful sitting in the front living room looking at the river. A great location and close to restaurants and cafes.

It appears to be an old holiday house with very basic facilities. Being on the river with a beautiful beach almost over the back fence is a brilliant location. The shops are reachable by foot.

Overall a very pleasant stay..Cottage had everything we neeeded and nothing we didnt .! Comfirtable, clean and quiet with lovely old world charm of yesteryear...reminded me of my childhood home, growing up on the farm . A great location, that allowed easy access to twon and surrounds...Would stay, and reccomend again in a heartbeat . Thankyou Margaret !

Beautiful old school beachhouse

Perfect location, great access to town and beach. Old school charm with a great atmosphere and feel that we enjoyed. Chilled and laid back. Would have been great to have a table and chairs out in the back garden but we managed 👍. Really enjoyed our 2 night visit and look forward to booking again. Thank you for sharing this original beachhouse.

Good value for money with riverside location

This older style property features comfortable sleeping for 8, very deep bath with shower over in main bathroom. There are 2 living areas, the front room being particularly cosy during out winter stay, with huge window views over the river. Large kitchen with big family sized table. It is furnished comfortably and a bit like visiting the grandparents. This is not luxury, it is cosy, warm and homely and the price range suits this house. The beds are so comfy and with electric blankets for a very peaceful sleep. I will definitely be re-booking Moyne Cottage on my next trip to Port Fairy.

Quaint character cottage

this quaint old lady carries her age well. clean spacious, good location, quiet,. 2 bathrooms , one with a sturdy bath tub, Excellent hot water and pressure. Multiple beds. It didn't matter that it it was wintry outside we enjoyed our 4 day getaway. Pt. Fairy is such a pretty town with nice people. We felt safe. Gardens, sea river, wharf, foot bridge , town, all with in walking distance.

Lovely retro cottage

The cottage some great vintage furniture. The front sitting room has a large picture window where you can sit with the warmth of the gas heater and watch the lights reflected on the river. The other sitting room has an open fire and access to a collection of DVDs. The layout is great with the third bedroom sleeping four and easy access to second bathroom. The deep back garden attracts many birds and nice to look at from the dining table. Authentic rustic cottage that was a pleasure to stay in.

Moyne cottage

We loved the accomodation from the time we arrived. We had come to Port Fairy, primarily to take part in the marathon events. The cottage was close to the town centre, marathon and the beach. The house fitted our needs perfectly, just a pity we couldnt stay longer but we will be back.
