No one was there to assist; waited at the reception/check-in area for an hour and no one showed up. Reception closed during that time. Rung bell at least 6 times and I was never given any keys, so I necer actually got to stay in the room I booked.
Lovely room with mini kitchen area with microwave. Generally excellent room with clear instructions sent to access the keys to the room. The property was unstaffed during my attendance but mobile phone and sms messages used to communicate. The road the unit faces is busy and may not suit light sleepers. The only annoying issue was the shower had no soap holder, which was quite a balancing act to hold soap and wash your self. Otherwise
The breakfast bowls had mould in them and the dishes had to be washed in the same basin that is used after going to the toilet. I suggest you have a plastic bucket with a jug to use to fill the basin to do the dishes in. There was a whole sports team of children that arrived on the second night who were very distuptive and unruly with no parents in sight. Another guest and myself tried to get them to calm down and stop climbing on the reception desk. I eventually took the reception bell into my room for the night. I know this is not your fault and out of your control

Liked that it was clean and the bed was comfortable, good shower pressure.
Didnt like that there wasnt a blind for bathroom window even though the glass is frosted you still feel open to the world whilst showering. Didnt like the bed up against the wall, there is enough room for it not to be. Didnt like only 3xtea bags, no coffee but a truck load of sugar sachels.
Still a pleasant stay though
This WAS a Retirement Home less then 6 month earlier, which still retains the elderly smell, Heavily stained carpets with what appeared to be Blood "in our Room" Extremely creaking floorboards which makes sleeping early an impossibility if your room is on the main hall between the front door and reception.
On the plus side if you like us was in Port Pirie for work its cheap digs but that's all its got going for itself, Holiday makers I strongly recommend shelling out a couple extra bucks and go else where.
Amenities are basic at best.
Very happy with the helpfulness of staff and owner. Property was very clean. We stayed in the front unit which I highly recommend for travellers passing through and staying for a couple of days. Also a free laundry.. Which is exceptional as caravan parks usually have a cost involved.

The property needs updating on beds, mattress, etc. The room and bathroom were clean (the most important thing to us).
This property is a converted nursing home with very little change to convert it into apartments. The rooms still smell like a hospital and has hospital fixtures on the wall.
Very convenient late check in with keys in a lock safe by your door. Good cheap place if looking for somewhere as an overnight stop. The area is quite and a little out of the city centre.
We found everything to be in good order, it's an old property so some of it could be updated, but we had everything we needed and the lady on reception was friendly and helpful.

Okay
Probably a good business place to stay but a bit away from town, eats... looks/feels like an old hospital. Decent service.
The general condition of the property was good ,but showing age; to be expected as it's an old structure. Most importantly everything was clean and in good repair.
The arrangements for out-of-hours check-in were excellent.
The room had no bath. Not a problem, but significant for some people.
Similarly, no iron.
I would happily stay here again.
