"My wife and I needed a place to stay in Port St Johns, to break our journey across the Transkei. We didn't know what to expect or hope for, so we took a chance. Umzimvubu Retreat Guest House was fine - comfortable and clean, pleasant staff, two friendly dogs, a fragrant Yesterday, a fragrant Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow bush by the front entrance. Breakfast was excellent. There wasn't really any view of the ocean, but the town's natural setting overall is spectacular - it's almost worth staying...
