Some of the must do's when in Portarlington
Portarlington is a beautiful coastal heritage fishing village on the Bellarine Peninsula. The historic town sits on a small hill overlooking a safe harbour and pier.
Surrounded by family friendly beaches, Portarlington is a popular holiday destination. It's also a great place for those who like to fish from the pier, or on a boat, with several well equiped boat ramps. The whole family can experience the many water activities on the Bay, including fishing, swimming, snorkelling, jet skiing, kayaking or just playing in the sand and rock pools.
Take a gentle stroll, ride or run along the foreshore track, which leads from the front door all the way into town. This is a magnificent way to explore the area and take in the fresh sea air.
Bring along your golf clubs and tee-off at the Portarlington Golf Club.
The town has several family friendly, quality restaurants and cafes and a wine bar or two that will meet your entertainment needs and is located near a full 18-hole golf course.
For foodies, portarlington is the gateway to the epicurean adventure that is the bellarine food trail, which showcases coveted cool climate wines, gin distilleries, breweries, artisan bread, olives, smoked salmon and fresh seafood. Visit local wineries such as Scotchmans Hill, Jack Rabbit Vineyard and Leura Park, Bellarine and Terindah Estates.
Grab a hot jam donut from the infamous van near the pier.
Great for staycays or working from home (away), Portarlington has a ferry that departs to the Docklands twice a day - great for a day trip to Melbourne or commuting to work.
Visit the local townships of Queenscliff and Ocean Grove for great shopping and ice-cream.
Try your hand at fruit picking at Tuckerberry Hill Blueberry & Strawberry farm. Pick up a jar of their delicious homemade blueberry jam, which goes perfectly with scones.
Portarlington is famous for it's mussels - sold throughout Victoria, but availabe freshly caught each morning from the pier.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. Our daughter and her family , including our 9 years old grandson and our cavoodle puppy , had a pleasant stay. Cathy was very helpful and responsive. The house for 5 of us was very comfortable, clean and a million dollar wiev. Highly recommended .
We had a wonderful stay here for the 2nd time now, great communication with Cathy (host), the kitchen is very well equipped, the view is absolutely AMAZING, we could sit out the front in 42deg heat still in shade & sea breeze watching the world go by, we also had our fur baby with us, the yard is fully secure & to be able to just cross the road to the beach with our pup was absolute bliss. A short drive to the golf club & town centre was very convenient. Thankyou so much for a perfect relaxing last week of our holiday, we will be back. Anna, Joe & Ajay

Beautifully renovated low maintenance beach pad
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Esplanade Beach House in Portalington. It was old school fun collecting crabs, playing beach cricket, jumping over the sprinkler and lounging around reading books. The couch is the most comfortable one I have ever experienced accommodating all six of us for snuggly movies. I would definitely recommend it to others. Next time I would bring the bikes as it is away from town and the swimming beach.
My hubby, our fur baby & I absolutely loved our short beach getaway. The house was fully equipped with everything & more. The pics don’t do this house justice! Cathy was very prompt with any questions I had & even gave us a later checkout on request. We can’t wait to come back.

Great property
Kids and dog loved the space and comforts, well located.
Well furnished, everything one needs in kitchen, great views.
Bathroom clean and light, needed better cleaning under beds and dining table.
Back garden needed mowing and weeding.
We absolutely loved our stay at the esplanade in Portarlington. The house is even more spacious than appears online and has a wonderfully equipped kitchen and living room.
The view from the living /dining and kitchen space is amazing and if you are lucky enough to nab the master you will wake up to the sea each morning.
The house accommodates a large number of people and has two distinct outdoor areas - whether you are having a bbq for dinner out the back or your morning coffee out the front you get a sense you are at the beach.
Cathy was very helpful and made our stay easy.
Would highly recommend!
Thankyou for a lovely weekend away. The adults, children and our happy little puppy enjoy everything about this space.

Great holiday house! Well equipped.
Absolutely loved staying here! Great experience and prime position.
I don’t rate the website, it’s not user friendly.. and didn’t give me a good experience booking the house along with the process.
