There was dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, the TV and internet didn’t work and the host didn’t get back to us very fast, the floor was dirty, but overall it was a good place to stay for a few days.

So Cozy and well Equipped

We stayed here while undergoing home renovation that ran over in schedule, and Michael was SO nice, and the place was so homey, which was truly what we needed. Thank you so much!

Charming home

The home was as described there was a front porch with seating. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, he was very helpful and even introduced me to the neighbors. Traveling as a single woman I felt very safe and would recommend this home to anyone that is traveling alone. I definitely will stay there the next time I’m in Portland.

Small Unit In Portland

The apartment is in a decent location, but the unit itself is pretty run down and sparsely furnished. It echo's a lot because of the lack of furniture. My major issue was with either the owner/property manager. He was staying in the unit above and left his dog at night, who barked for about an hour at starting at midnight. We brought with us our two dogs. When we walk our dogs is the morning, his dog was tied to the porch alone and growled and barked at us as we left. We had to carry one of our dogs off the porch because we had no idea how this dog behaved. When we came back the property, the owner was on the porch and started a conversation with us. One of our dogs is a rescue and very anxious (heightened by being in a new location for less that 24 hours at this point) and started barking at him. He decided he wanted our dogs to meet, even though my husband and I repeatedly tried to tell him no and that the dog was overwhelmed. He grabbed his dog anyway, so we recommended going into the yard so we could at least separate them. Our dog was still visibly angry and we again tried to leave and told him this was not a good situation. He kept saying he prides himself on dogs getting along and would not let us leave. In both situations he was blocking either the entrance to the unit we were staying in or the gate to the yard. Our dog snapped at his and his dog ran out of the yard. His dog was not hurt. After, he started telling us he would be our dogs worst nightmare and that we in fact needed to get rid of her so she didnt hurt anyone else. Our dog regularly goes to day care/the dog park without an issue. He repeatedly ignored us asking to leave the situation for no clear reason, then decided to threaten our dog. We've stayed in multiple places with dogs and have never been treated like that by anyone.

Great place to stay in Portland

This was a really great place to stay in Portland! The location really can't be beat - walking distance to some nice restaurants and ice cream as well as the bay. You could get in the car and drive to the beach within 10 minutes. House was nice, clean and quiet. The listing says that there is on-site parking but the host asks you to park in the street. Not a huge problem since there seemed to be plenty of free street parking.

Quiet neighborhood in Portland

We had a great stay in this spacious place in a quiet neighborhood. The house is comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We ate breakfast in, packed a lunch and did dinner out and it all worked so well. There’s a fabulous trail one block away to bike next to water. So pretty and peaceful!

Back Cove Charmer Review

We enjoyed staying here! The location was in a quiet neighborhood and easy to find. The house was clean and very comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed the layout of the space because he could watch tv in the morning and not disturb my sleep. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals and a grocery was within a couple minutes. We loved our stay at the Back Cove Charmer!

Everything about this place was exactly what we wanted on our trip to Portland. The location was within 15 minutes of everything that we did while in Portland. We will definitely be back in the future.

Upon our check in we found a beautiful bedroom and the living room couch was so comfy...felt very at home. The first night was awesome quite and peaceful just what we were looking for in our little get away. The next afternoon Im assuming people rented the upstairs unit...they were extremely loud, loud music yelling and banging on fhe floors...this started around 5pm....and kept up till after midnight keeping us up alnight. We did contact Michael which he answered almost right away and tired to tell them to keep it down....Its not his fault that some people are just rude....Micheal was a great host and also contacted me first thing on the morning to check on us. He even was nice enough to refund some of our money! We loved this place and will definitely stay again!!! Micheal your awesome and so was your rental!!!! Thank you so so much again!

Lovely quiet stay

We very much enjoyed our stay in Portland! This is our second time staying here and would definitely recommend! Also a great spot close to downtown but still secluded in a neighborhood, great walking path close by on the water to take the dog too!
