The host was very gracious and excellent at communicating every part of the way. The house is lovely in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to downtown and lots of trails. I really enjoyed spending time out on the back deck looking at the birds and squirrels and trees. In addition, the house is well stocked and clean. Finally, the beds are so comfortable that I slept very well. I’d love to come back.

Beds for All of Us!

My sister and two cousins stayed here with me, all of us 69 years old or older. With four comfortable beds it was great. Also, very comfortable couch and recliner in the living room. Huge dining room. Just a wonderful place to stay.

A Gem in Portland Maine

The house, well maintained inside and out, nicely sized front-backyard, quiet street and minutes away from downtown Portland, parks and beaches. Large driveway and garage can easily accommodate 3 cars. Owner was quite responsive, and friendly neighbors. That's our new home-away-from-home.

Refuge in a storm

The house was spotless and comfortable. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm, and it was great to have the one-car attached garage, a heating system that worked well, someone who plowed the driveway and shoveled the snow shortly after we arrived, and a comfortable hot shower. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby. Beds are comfortable, and there is a lot of closet space and drawer space. We would stay here again.

High speed internet

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing. TV in each bedroom is awesome especially streaming programs we loved so much. As we are Celtics fans, we were able to watch the game. One thing is that high speed internet is slow. Overall the rating is 5.

Great place to stay!

This home was extremely clean and organized! It had everything we needed to cook a full meal and more! It’s in a quiet neighborhood and close to downtown and other areas! There is a train that runs behind the house but the landscaping covers it beautifully and it wasn’t an issue for us. The listing says it has two bathrooms which it actually has one full bath and one-half bath. So only one shower for the 6 of us, but we made it work and it didn’t ruin our stay. Overall it was a great place to stay and we especially enjoyed dinner on the back deck!

Very well taken care of home :)

My family and I, which included 4 adults and 3 children, had a wonderful stay in Joe's home. We had a little trouble understanding the AC & thermostat situation (my 5-year-old likes to touch things and that included the Nest and vents on the window units), but a little googling helped me fix that. Somebody also touched the red switch going down to the basement and we couldn't figure out whether it was supposed to be on or off! Again, google to the rescue. Aside from that, everything was perfect. I appreciated the cleanliness and small details. We played a lot of UNO so I was grateful to find those cards in the dining room! The neighborhood was very quiet which was a plus. I would also like to add that a certain political party showed up asking for Joe, so I appreciate him being affiliated with them ;). Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and absolutely recommend this home!
