In the weeks approaching our stay, we got so many emails and phone calls from the rental company. I expected this to be like any other hotel stay - check in, check out - but the amount of communication from the company was unnecessarily complicated.
In all that communication, though, they never told us which lockbox our keys would be in, so when we did arrive we had to try them all. They gave us the wrong wireless password, the wireless was slow. The bed was much smaller than I expected - for occupancy of two adults, I assumed we'd get a queen bed by default, but we were pretty cramped (and there was only room for a nightstand on one side - I had to pull up a chair to my side of the bed).
And the neighborhood is loud at night. On the one hand, I guess I should have expected it given the location. But if you know that you're renting to business people in a loud neighborhood, maybe double-pane the windows?
