"No free breakfast, no coffee maker in room, only basic cable on tv. Bed was very nice and the staff were helpful and friendly."

"The staff was very welcoming. Loved the free water bottle in room, water refill station in lobby for sparkling or still water as well as the voucher for a free drink. The hotel itself is a bit tired and could use with a refresh. The hallway to room is a bit depressing in decor. The room was clean and bedding was comfortable. Lots of street noise during the day, but noise level went down in the evening. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because of proximity to downtown. Good value overall."

"I wish to express my disappointment regarding the service I received at your hotel, Mark Spencer Downtown Portland, on April 8 during my business trip. The WIFI was nonfunctional, preventing me from connecting my computer or phone, which made it impossible to access the internet for work communications and caused significant inconvenience. Despite your website promoting high-speed, reliable WIFI, it was entirely unavailable during my stay. This was particularly problematic, as I required a stable connection for online meetings and work tasks. I reached out to the staff for assistance but received no viable solutions. When I approached the front desk to discuss my concerns, the staff offered no remedies, further adding to my frustration."
