Central and convenient

Location could not have been better or easier to walk into downtown at night for dinner and drinks. Corner lot with private parking was great and plenty of seating and space for my wife, my daughter and me to be comfortable hanging out and working from here during the day. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Great getaway

Old but clean and cozy home. The one bathroom situation takes some coordinating 😉 Beds were very comfortable. Overall, a great place for our Portland “home base” for our week-long Maine trip!!

Portland is expensive

For the money we were happy with the Accommodations. The host was very helpful, a lot of towels were provided which was nice. Easy access and parking, quiet neighborhood.

Portland Maine

This listing was very clean. Very quiet at night. Nice to have off street parking. Check in was very easy. All the places I wanted to go to were close by and easily able to drive to. It was very nice to have a book of recommended places to visit and restaurants to eat at.

Just enough

Location was excellent for us. The beds were very comfortable, there was a good amount of space for socializing, and the house was clean. But note that stairs are narrow and fairly steep. With the only bathroom downstairs, it’s best to be steady on your feet. No coffee creamer or sugar but coffee Keurig pods were supplied. It is an old house so there are fun quirks but there is also some basic maintenance that needs to be done inside and out. Maybe because we were there end of season.

Nice home but needs updates

Location was great! The place definitely needs to be updated however. The dishes seemed dirty and we washed them prior to using them. The bathroom is downstairs (which is fine) but if you’re coming down in the middle of the night to use the bathroom the light for the stairs is broken. Two out of three bedroom doors didn’t fully close so if you’re looking for some privacy from others you’d have to put something against the door for it to stay closed. The larger bedroom has a large closet but there was a door on the ground so when we used the closet we had to walk on the door. The fridge has broken shelves in it and the water dispenser didn’t work so we were left with bags of ice and a brita. The stove stands alone like in the pictures but the hoses are exposed. A curios child could go and easily grab them.

It was what we were looking for- in Portland, with a parking spot. Some nice restaurants nearby- walking distance! Note the bathroom is on the first floor, bedrooms are on second. Modest but had everything we needed! What we were disappointed in was we had no idea how many museums and local attractions in a city are closed till the end of April or May!

Comfortable stay in Portland

Great and spacious place with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay. Location was close to downtown and within walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants on Congress St. The off street parking spot was super convenient. Jason was a very responsive host.
