Not what i expected it was ok..villa was nice just minor issues such as water pressure extremely low, hot water took forever to come through, and it was very hot in the living room although there was a fan and we opened all windows still hot. Pool was closed due to construction going on and it was noisey. Other that the place was ok.Also the location was a little ways out from where i wanted to be but we managed. Steve the brother of the property manager was very nice and helpful.

Thank you for the review. The villa has two AC units. Yes there was some refinishing of the pool area taking place and the water pressure was low for the day as the pool was being refill.

This cute Villa is lovely. We had a little trouble locating the property at first but Ms. Michaun assisted our driver with directions. The initial meeting was hilarious. Ms. Michaun made check in and check out very easy. The tour of the home was excellent very precise and details. The villa felt like a home away from home. The beds are comfortable great air conditioning, laundry, wi-fi and kitchen supplies. Clean bathrooms and kitchen. Close to shopping plazas, good music, food, rivers and beaches. At night we sat outside enjoying the cool breeze from the sea. I would most definitely stay here again. Thank you

So, this is the worst place I've stayed in quite a while. Let's start with the basics. The property advertises itself as "On the Beach." There is no beach. The description promises a marina. There is no marina. The pics are full of great shots of an attractive pool. The pool has been closed for half a year and will be closed for at least another year. So, effectively, there is no pool. But the disappointment doesn't end there. When I arrived well into the evening I expected everything to be up and running. Not quite. The stove was out of propane and no one had bothered to check. The kitchen lacked paper towels, a trash can, and useful utensils. The micro wave didn't work. One of the bathrooms didn't function - the shower and toilet were both broken. No one could find the remote for the second bedroom's a/c. There was no toilet paper! Attempts were made the next day to fix the bathroom, but ultimately, despite my having to suffer workmen in the apartment most of the day, to no avail. Neither worked for the duration of my stay. I got down on all fours and finally found the a/c remote in the dark corner of a closet. I withheld part of the payment until repairs were effected and this became the source of real frustration for the owners(basically all they want is the money and guests can be damned). The police needed to be called to dislodge them from the "villa" when they arrived and tried to intimidate me. I have demanded a full refund for my stay. It was that horrible!

For a couple months I have been trying to formulate a response to this review. We do not want to go item by item discrediting what was said because that would not be productive. We will just communicate the big picture. This gentle man came to Jamaica with his teenage daughter (17 years old) who came to meet her online companion. The teenage took off with the companion in her father rental car. The gentleman was stuck in the villa for 4 days as his teenager refuse to answer the phone. He tried to enlist us to help and when you refuse to get involve so he made our lives hell. He called us nine times to come pickup the remote he dropped on the floor. It was that kind of guest. I will say no more, you can use your imagination.

Over all satisfied with the stay. Only complaint we had was pool was closed during our entire stay other than that it was gated community and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice Beach Community Villa
Truly, from my heart and my family’s heart, we just wanna to say THANK YOU!!! Your place was so welcoming, clean and honestly I don’t think there is one thing negative I could say about our stay there. The gated community was awesome, the pool & and extra towels we were provided with. Everything was new and clean, beds were comfortable, ceiling fans throughout the entire house, washer & dryer, AC in both bedrooms. Close to everything. There was nothing we could have possibly needed because everything we could possibly want was there. Kevin was the person we communicated with and Michaun met us at the property and checked us in and out, she was very professional and always available. Truly appreciated the treatment. We will definitely be returning to Sunrise Villa. We were so happy with everything, no doubt in my mind I we will be booking again very soon!!! One love, Tammy

A Hidden Gem
We have been to Kingston quite a few times and are acutely aware that there is not good beach in Kingston so we were very surprise to find this nice little place on a beach. This villa was very nice, very clean and we loved the smaller scale the self-catering offered. We have been at many "large" resorts and spent so much time walking from the room to restaurants or the beach. We didn't have to do that here. We enjoyed having more interior space, a full kitchen and the ability to host local friends in the area. The pool or beach was not far away. It was not overwhelming. No negatives, all the amenities were in working order. The country club community was newly built so occupancy levels was low. The peace and quiet was deafening. During the days we planned on staying in, we got a bucket of ice and have a few drinks on the front porch and enjoyed a few games of cards and unwind before walking to the fitness room then the pool. Overall, the villa was very nice, relaxing and a great place for couples or family to unwind.

Dangerous area, No service at all, they want to charge you cleaning fee and no cleaning services offered. Stay away of this place.

Dear Nancy thank you for the review. We know you were the one who did this review because you have been our only dissatisfied guest in over a year. You got so upset over the $50.00 one time cleaning fee we could not comprehend. We explained that the fee was not paid at the time of booking and we were very diligent in showing you the details on your itinerary. It seems we were making progress until you demanded a cleaner every day for 7 days. That would be maid service at a rate of $7.14 USD per day. (lol) We explained to Nancy that the cleaning occur at the end of the stay and she threatened to give us a negative review if we did not clean everyday which was not possible. NOTE: This is a self-catering villa and not a full service villa with butlers and maids unless you engage us to retain such paid service. This is a villa in a gated community on the beach in a very safe area. Want to know what we are offering, please read the reviews before and after Nancy's review.

I think the villa is located in relatively safe area. There are a shopping place like grocery store and local street food shops near the villa.

Lovely & Safe Villa
I must say that at first I was very skeptical, but oh was I surprised upon my arrival. The villa is well kept, it is also in a very safe and quiet location. Bed was very comfortable and all the appliances worked as well. It was like a home away from home. I like the fact that I could walk to the beach, although the beach is not fully ready for swimming, just to be able to use it to experience the island feeling was an awesome experience.
