"Absolutely perfect little hotel. Beautifully decorated throughout. The hotel owner was really welcoming and accommodating. He made us feel most welcome Fantastic morning breakfast. Chinon is a lovely little town with a number of restaurants and a lake side bar. Great little over night pit stop for us to help us on our way to the south of France."

"A beautiful location and ideal for a relaxing stay. Our arrival was delayed by a traffic incident but despite that they were able to accommodate us in the restaurant. Perhaps not untypical of such an establishment the service was slow, despite there appearing to be an abundance of staff. All in all good value for money."

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was just a short drive to Chatellerault. Difficult to access. Apparently the reception does not open till 5 on a Friday. We understood it opened at 12 every day. Also when we removed the plug to let out a basin of water it flowed all over the floor underneath the basin. There was no air conditioning so it was very hot."

"A beautifully appointed comfortable gite with many excellent features. The countryside views are stunning and the area is well situated for any of the Loire chateaux. Our host went above and beyond in so many ways. The pool was wonderful very well maintained and a cool sanctuary on some of the many hot days. All in all a memorable week made all the better by the kindness of our host. I would unhesitatingly recommend this gite."

"A very nice stay in a lovely old building that has been sympathetically modernised and included air conditioning It is a 5 min walk to the river and we went to a very nice restaurant around the corner that the hotel owner recommended"

"Nice hotel, for me the location was great. Clean room, dark and quiet at night. Restaurant was nice, had a good dinner. My dog found it very nice, he had easy outdoor access from our room. All in all, great for the price."
