The staff was very friendly and helpful. She directed us to an awesome place to eat dinner in downtown Portsmouth. An old town with character. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was limited but good.

The staff was amazing. The room was clean but it needs some repairs. The shower knob was not function well. The TV didn’t work and didn’t turn on. Somehow the room was very humid but I don’t understand why.

When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, and the number that was provided only led to an automated call for the property. We were somewhat disappointed by the initial condition of our room. Upon entering, the room had a musty odor that smelled like cigarette smoke. However, the bathroom was even worse. Inside the bathtub and around the toilet were numerous human hairs and animal droppings. That said, when we did interact with staff, they were usually very polite and helpful, but it would have been preferable if we had not the problems from the outset.

Although the staff was great, the property is in disrepair. Due to this the windows allow stink bugs to crawl in and there is an infestation of them. I had to have staff come with a vacuum to our rooms multiple times to get rid of the bugs. This is in a small town, so unfortunately hotel options are limited.

I liked that there was sufficient area to take my dog outside, and it was next to a dollar general and McDonald's. But for the room, the headboard of the bed was dirty, there was a half open beer can in the mini fridge, gummy bears on the lamp, and the bathtub didn't drain very well.

Blah.

Staff was friendly enough and it was clean enough. Beds were terrible, door locks needed work. The pool was being worked on which is the reason we chose that place so that was a disappointment.
