"This is a charming hotel with an outstanding customer service. The pool, sauna, and restaurant make it highly convenient for a weekend getaway. It is located in a small village with beautiful walking paths. "
"A wonderful stay at this olde worlde charm hotel. Frau Brendel makes one feel most welcome. The hotel is ideally situated diagonally across the road from the impressive basilica, 30metres from bus station and also 30metres from the (helpful) Tourist Office. The breakfast (included in the hotel tariff) was hearty."
"The staff are excellent from the front desk to breakfast room to house-keeping. My room was 15 meters from the train station and I could hear announcements and obviously, trains. However, with the windows and doors closed, it was surprisingly quiet. "

DORMERO Hotel Hersbruck
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel right in the heart of the beautiful town of Hersbruck. We stayed one night with our dog and felt really welcome. The dog bowl and treats in our room was a lovely touch we've not seen in other chain hotels. Loads of options for eating out nearby. A great place to stay :)"
"We only stayed one night, but experience here was great. We had family and friends stay here and they recommended it and it came through. The room was bright, clean and quiet and the staff were great. We left some bags for the day while we explored Erlangen and they were super helpful with that. I also really recommend the breakfast--wow, we almost skipped lunch after such a good breakfast. The hotel is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the train station (pulling suitcases) or there are taxis available."
"Friendly staff, updated/tasteful furnishings, and decent location. It’s a little far from the Festspielhaus (if you’re there for the Wagner festival), but they run a complementary shuttle to and from the operas, along with a complementary reception (with prosecco and snacks) right beforehand, which was a nice touch. "This is a wonderful hotel that makes any visit to the Bayreuth Wagner Festival extremely special. Little touches include the little note at breakfast announcing the forthcoming performance, the apéro in the afternoon before a shuttle-bus trip to and from the Festspielhaus and the option to dine after a performance. Even seeing the music on the stave above the beds is charming."
"Our stay was very nice, with only 2 issues which we truly were not pleased with. Paid for parking, but they have an issue with non-payers getting into the parking garage. Therefore, no parking 2 evenings in a row. Going back & forth, checking if a space was available. This was very unfortunate. The garage has a card key entry, but another could come in right behind. The easiest way is to have someone come thru hotel lobby, push the garage level button, without needing a card entry. Then person can get downstairs and open the garage door from downstairs. Frustrating for sure. The other issue, much less frustrating, no coffee ability in the room. Staff members were very nice, except for one who chose to count his cash box instead of trying to help with our parking situation. "
