Streamside - Hunter Mtn Ski Windham Luxury Home

    Located in the northern Catskill Mountains, 20 minutes West of Hunter Mountain and 15 minutes to Ski Windham is Streamside, a unique, one of a kind luxury home.

    Streamside is aptly named as it is built on and over a secluded mountain stream that cuts right through the property, creating a dramatic natural setting.

    Over the centuries the flowing water has eroded the mountainside, exposing a natural sandstone ledge over which the stream currently flows. Extensive decking and foot bridges connect each side of the property, allowing the site to highlight the natural beauty of the stream and its surroundings.

    Each season at Streamside is unique unto itself and walls of glass bring nature into all entertaining areas.

    Fall Foliage at Streamside is Spectacular and can be enjoyed from the heated pool.

    The Pool is typically open and heated From Mothers Day weekend in May, thru late October.

    Streamside is ideal for a large group or family reunion. The property is more like a private resort than a private home with 5,000 sq. ft. of living space, allowing plenty of room to spread out.

    The house has 7 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms. All bedrooms have queen
    size Sealy Posturpedic beds. Some bedrooms have additional single
    beds. 3 bedrooms have private baths.

    The bedroom configurations are as follows:
    Main level
    Bedroom # 1: (Master) Two (2) Queen beds
    This bedroom has a private bath with a double seat steam & shower enclosure (no tub) and his/her sinks.

    Bedroom # 2: Two (2) Queen Beds.
    This bedroom has a private bath with standard tub/shower combination

    Bedroom # 3: One (1) Queen bed.
    This bedroom has a private bath with a corner stall shower

    Bedroom # 4: One (1) Queen bed, no private bath

    Additionally, there are two hall bathrooms on the main level.
    One has a stall shower, the other a standard tub/shower combination.

    These 3 bedrooms share a hall bathroom

We rented for a long weekend to bring family together for a celebration. We loved the the large kitchen/dining/gathering area. Really, the only annoyance, was the spiral staircase to the lower level. The owner provided excellent communication with a detailed "owners manual" for the house. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

Annual Friends Retreat

Fantastic Family Ski Weekend in an Awesome House

Amazing house with every possible amenity. Huge well stocked kitchen with room for all to eat together; multiple sitting areas throughout the house; very comfortable beds; and plenty of bathrooms. The house was super clean and everything was in great condition. The owner was communicative and very attentive. Great time was had by all! My party loved skiing at Plattekill!

Great venue for large family gatherings

We had 20 family members gather for a 50th wedding anniversary. Hard to imagine a place better suited to hosting 6 couples, and kids ranging in age from 10 months to 17 years old. Despite inclement weather, the (well-heated) pool was in use almost nonstop. The kitchen was perfect--somehow I hadn't noted that we'd have a standard stove, griddle, and large inside grill, but they all got great use! Ed was a pleasure to work with. I could easily imagine us gathering here again.

Had a great time this weekend. Check in was a smooth process. Ed was always a quick text away. Unfortunately, hot tub broke down a day before our arrival, but Ed gave us a partial refund. An Amazing Space

This space was perfect for accommodating a large group of 20 friends and family for a weekend. There is so much space that it never felt crowded or congested, everybody slept comfortably, and the outdoor area is serene and gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to cook large meals, the living areas were clean and comfortable, and the entire grounds felt very private. The host was incredibly accommodating and communicative, and I would recommend to anyone looking for a mountain getaway!

Prior to arriving we were given all the instruction we would need. Ed went above and beyond and communicated everything clearly and promptly. The house it self was amazing. Family group of 20 (13 adults, 7 children ages 3mos to 9 years). Perfect house for large family gathering. Kitchen and its amenities and large space was a special treat. We enjoyed the heated pool despite mild spring weather. Indoor hot tub, sauna and steam room all got good use. The picturesque stream that ran through the property was also a fun diversion for the kids. Owner was exceptionally responsive and helpful as questions arose.

Our family of three generations, ages 9 to 75 enjoyed the spacious 5000 sq ft accommodations. The pool is large and provided cool relief on the very warm days. The kitchen is very well equipped with a stove top griddle that made cooking easy. The kitchen table accommodated are group of 12 comfortably. Plus there was a large bar area for additional seating if needed but also served well for buffet serving meals. The owner was very responsive to our few questions. Five stars

Exceeded expectations

This house was incredible and absolutely blew us away! Exceeded our expectations of the size of the house beyond. The pictures definitely don’t do it justice. It was perfect for a big group (18 of us). We are already ready to book our next trip there. We were so happy with everything. Also super clean! And Ed was a great host. He always answered my questions right away leading up to the trip. Very friendly and informative. Highly recommend this rental!
