Found a new great spot just outside Montgomery AL. The HotSpot Java house has a great owner with willingness to modify drinks to your desire. Was in the mood for a cortadito and she made an excellent one. Nice place to hang down Memorial Dr in Prattville.

I found myself at the House of Java by default. I was going to try Mugshot Coffee but they were away on vacation. gotta love the independents. HoJ was a pleasant surprise located in a small strip shopping center. They have a nice sitting area. Good basic coffees and coffees by the pound as well as pastries. They also have some locals crafts and clothing for sale. Very country "store-ish). Super nice staff. .... The coffee, well the latte was okay, better than Duncan donuts but not quite top level. Ala in all I still enjoyed this shop in south Alabama. ---- forgot to note the shop is very kid friendly with an awesome enclosed indoor playground!!
