There is a road on either side of the hotel, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and relaxed. "There’s a reason this hotel has so many good reviews - it’s absolutely amazingly well run. The rooms actually looked better in person than the pictures to our surprise. I was also very impressed with the food as it was all fresh, healthy and the variety served was all done to a high quality. The staff were also exceptionally helpful. The only minor issue was people reserving sun loungers at the pool but that’s common in many places. However the hotel has ample sun loungers on the beach which made up for it."

The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and amenities. It was easy to walk to many of Heraklion's attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront, making it a good base for exploring the city. The property is modern, well-maintained, and offers the services and facilities you would expect from a larger hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our needs. The staff was professional and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient. For travelers looking for a full-service hotel in a central location, Aquila Atlantis is a solid choice. It may not offer the charm, history, or personalized feel of a boutique property, but it delivers what it promises: a comfortable stay, good service, and a convenient location for exploring Heraklion.
