"Property is clean and well-maintained. However, the room we were in was very noisy. The dining room, kitchen and common areas were just on the other side of the door/wall, and the kitchen clattering and loud conversations started at 6:30am. Every time the outer door closed the pressure differential caused our room door to bang, and you could hear every noise our upstairs neighbours made.
If you’re an early-riser, heavy-sleeper, or can ignore loud noises, it’s a nice place to stay. Otherwise, take ear plugs."
"Great B&B. The host was very thorough upon arrival showing me the property and even explaining how to work the t.v. She is very knowledgeable about the area telling me where to find the icebergs. Room was comfortable and quiet."
Red Jellybean: Great ocean views and sunsets close to town
10/10 Excellent
"Our time at the RedJellyBean cottages was a great experience. We stayed during the second last week of May so it was cooler than it would be during the summer months and the tourist season was just ramping up. But it was a perfect time for iceberg viewing and hiking. The cottages are conveniently located just outside of the charming town of Twillingate, the “ iceberg capital of the world.” It has a spectacular view of the ocean. In fact, there was an iceberg we could see directly from our front picture window the whole duration of our stay. The cottage we stayed is was a very nice one bedroom. The cottage was very clean throughout. It had a well appointed kitchen with proper utensils that were actually NOT your typical jumble of miss-matched left overs that you typically see in some places. The living room area was very comfortable and great for watching the sunsets! The spacious bathroom had a nice size shower. The bedroom was comfortable and so quiet. Our host was great to deal with. One small issue with the front porch light (a great place to watch the ocean from by the way) was dealt with immediately. He also had great recommendations for places to eat. Overall, we had a great experience during our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Whether you like the laid back vibe of a cottage by the ocean and great food or hiking and exploring the Newfoundland coast, Twillingate has all. And, for us, the perfect place to stay while there is at the RedJellyBean!"
