"The decor (room #1) was very romantic with a lovely balcony. The only negative was our bathtub could not be filled with more than about 3 inches of water before it drained out so the jets could not work. We loved our delicious breakfast and conversing with our charming, friendly hostess Patrizia. We had a wonderful stay in Lucca. This property was a great value!"

"The hotel is located in the best position right in the old town of Bologna, but still in a quiet residential street. As the building is heritage listed, they are unable to do anything about sound proofing the rooms so there is a lot of foot fall, creaking floor boards and noise transfer from room to room. "Lovely property that we stayed for one night. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was superb and helped us cool down and relax after a long day travelling. Breakfast was really good the next morning and served with some locally produced goods. Great place to stay. Exactly as advertised. "

"Pictures are not accurate. The check-in is in hotel around the corner. There is no river view. One window did not have a heavy curtain to keep out the light, so I tried to shut the shutters which did not work. The room had one lightbulb out that never got replaced. The walls are paper thin, so I could hear residents talking in their rooms. 10AM check-out is too early. Location is the best asset. "

"The property is quite close to the highway and therefore a perfect stopover. The rooms look new and are very clean. The breakfast with homemade cake was delicious.
