After 3 days of insane crowds at Park City/Canyons, my husband and I decided to extend our trip to try Sundance. On a Mon night, we booked this home for Wed thru Fri. In our booking, I asked the host if there was a way to get us in early because we'd only really be there Wed and Thu as our flight on Fri required us hitting the road at 4am. The response was quick and positive. There were guests leaving Wed morning and the host said he'd get the place cleaned up asap so we could get in early. Then it snowed. I thought for sure we'd have a problem but I was wrong. I got a text from David in the morning letting me know that he was at the home cleaning and shoveling. We arrived when he was still there working and that was really helpful when it came to parking on this tiny mountain snowy road. David sorted us out, took a break to chat with us, made us feel extremely welcome then went back out to shovel more to be certain we'd be safe. All this extra work for a last minute 2 night booking that I'm sure he really didn't need. Amazing.
The home in the mountains surrounded by enormous, 7 foot snowbanks with tiny passages carved out is nothing less than storybook. The home is cozy and warm and lovely. Sundance was outstanding. No crowds, beautiful views, spectacular snow, and the Owl Bar.
This was a 10. Book it and skip the Park City/Canyons part.
