We absolutely loved this place, it’s such a lovely setting and the pool is superb. Crystal and the staff were lovely and so sweet with our young son. The food and trips are fantastic. A brilliant place to stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part is being on Lake Gatun. One morning we used a kayak to paddle a short way into the lake. It is really beautiful and relaxing. We like bird watching, and this is a great spot. The food and drinks were good and fairly priced. The only caution is that this property is on several levels, so there are quite a few stairs to get around. But this resort is so special, the steps were worth it.

We stayed as a family of 4. This place was perfect. Friendly, attentive staff, plenty of delicious food and drinks, and a comfortable air conditioned cabana. We spent most of our day at the pool with a view over the lake and also tried kayaking. The overwater restaurant was a good place to see fish and turtles. We also enjoyed relaxing on our deck with a book. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

The short version of this review: Paradise at a pleasing price! Our stay at Gatun Lake Lodge was wonderful! Pierre, our host, was entertaining, accommodating, competent, and charming! And, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Every meal was fresh and delicious. Our cabaña was very bright, comfortable, and clean. The pool was crystal clear and at the perfect temperature. The grounds were very well kept and full of exotic plants. Many of these beautiful plants are raised to become part of those delicious meals. We hiked every day to different parts of the property that includes beautiful views of Gatun Lake from hill tops, forays into the rain forest where a soothing stream spills into the lake and various birds and sloths live just off the path. One morning, we went on a boat to feed the monkeys, and as a bonus, got to see a giant container ship on the canal. One night, we went out in a little launch with “Lide” to find caymans; what a thrill! I highly recommend both tours; just ask Pierre! For our relaxing, quiet times, we sat on the deck watching the sun rise, sun bathed and floated in the pool, and kayaked in the flower-filled marshes along the lakeshore. One word of warning, stay on the main roads from La Chorrera to get to the lodge. Either via C. Hazia Mendoza or Via Sta. Cruz. DO NOT follow the Google Map route through Nueva Emperador; especially at night! I highly-recommend Lake Gatun Lodge for anyone who loves nature, great food, and nice people!

Estadía en Gatun Lake Lodge en pareja

Nos gustó mucho nuestra estadía en el Gatún Lake Lodge. La habitación estaba limpia y cómoda, con una vista preciosa sobre el lago Gatun. La cocina estaba rica y el personal muy amable. Se puede hacer kayak, tour en lancha, caminata por unos senderos y pescar. Se lo recomiendo, Sin embargo no conviene para personas que tienen dificultad en subir escaleras por qué hay bastante escaleras.
