Newer hotel but far from town

We stayed in the "2 bedroom suite" which isn't a great description since there is only 1 bedroom with a door. There are 2 double beds in the main room open to the kitchen and a single bed (and nothing else, no table no hook no anything) alone in the bedroom. I can't imagine who would want this setup but maybe they can't get a double past the built in bar to the bedroom. My son enjoyed his privacy. The kitchen had no pots just a few plates and a random assortment of silverware. There is a slightly better equipped shared kitchen so you really don't need to spend the extra for your own kitchen. Overall the room was clean and new so it worked well enough. The staff is rarely around so if there's a problem (like someone forgot to change the gas canister so there's no hot water for 2 days) it's hard to let someone know. You can walk to town but it's just far enough and taxis are just cheap enough that we usually took a taxi. When you arrive you need to tell the taxi that the hotel is near Iglesia de la Cascada. On a side note we highly recommend Galapagos Deep for tours and equipment rental. They are the tour operator so can give you a better price than the booking agencies.
