The room is nice and clean and has good air conditioning and hot water. Location is excellent. The only bad experience I had wasn’t with the hotel itself but with the agency they use for guest accommodations. I contacted them about airport transport and was told to message their agency SUP Tours. They tried to charge $35 for a $3 taxi ride. When I told them this was very expensive I was sent a long disrespectful reply telling me I shouldn’t visit the Galapagos if I don’t have the budget for it. Completely unacceptable.

Excellent location! Walk off the ferry with your bags and directly to La Zayapa. I had a difficult time before arriving with payment link and WhatsApp. I finally figured out WhatsApp and called the front desk; no worries, they had my reservation and told me to just settle up when checking in. Breakfast was wonderful and the day we left on the 7am ferry, they had a to-go meal packaged for each of us on a table on the way out the door. They also have very reasonable full laundry service. We left our laundry in the morning and it was done by the time we came back from our outing. Everyone is so nice. Loved our stay!

Great view of the harbour. There was a comical, loud barking sea lion in the harbour that we could hear from the room. The hotel has a nice cafe that provides a good breakfast. Location is great for getting to the pier for the ferry or for water taxis to do boat tours.

Great stay, just pay cash when you arrive

In-person, everything was amazing! There was this little old lady who didn't speak a lick of English, but I we got by with my basic spanish and she was so so sweet. She was accommodating and she was complimentary and she gave us advice on how to be safe in Guayaquil. The hotel and breakfast were great. The only negative was that before our trip, Zayapa reached out and they tried to get me to pay on a sketchy app beforehand (we ended up just paying in cash in person) but it was stressful beforehand.

The location was great, right in the middle of everything; the staff was friendly and the Wi-Fi was fast. The room was spacious and clean, but the electrical outlets were in inconvenient locations and the electric shower head was difficult to operate (it basically just served scalding-hot water)

This is a family-owned and run hotel that is next to their restaurant and tour business. We soon became family even though we did not speak each others' languages. It is next to the water and pier. We loved sitting out front and listening to the sea lions bark and watch the crabs scurrying about their business. The coveted blue-footed boobie visited each evening.

Lovely hotel

This hotel is in a great location. The cab from the airport was $3. It is on the Malecon and is very walk friendly. The breakfast is outside in front of the hotel and is very quick to receive. If you are going on an early tour they will leave a small bag for you with a sandwich, apple, juice box and cookies. There is water in the lobby to refill your bottles and tea available in the evening. Ask about walking to Mann beach and there is a museum there as well. Plenty of sea lions all around.

The hotel is located very close to the airport. It is worth the extra money for a beautiful ocean view. You can see the seals playing in the water and hear them throughout the day. It is the perfect walking distance to everything you could need. There is a small cafe that also has everyday essentials (soap, sun screen, aloe vera, drinks, snacks, alcohol, etc). The hotel also offers breakfast, however if you have a tour scheduled you have the option for a box lunch. This is very convenient and comes with a juice, apple, and pack of cookies which you can place in your fridge over night. Additionally, the hotel is located right across the way from the area in which the tours meet. The air conditioner in the room is perfect, and the hotel also provides complementary drinking water both in your room and downstairs. It is an extremely safe area, where everyone is extremely friendly.

The only reason this hotel is recommendable is the location. Otherwise, the hospitality and customer service is horrible. We arrived and there were ants on the wall over the bed and on the sheets. We were given a can of ant spray and told to spray and leave the room. There was no hot water unless we asked them to turn on the water heater and only after going down stairs twice to ask. I asked them for 2 extra towels and they wanted to charge me $50 for them. I am not sure how other hotels are in the area but the only reason to put up with the poor service is being able to look out the window at the water and wake up to the sea lions barking. Book with caution.
