Rooms and facilities were gorgeous, of course! Good very expensive. Pool was divine - sunny and shady areas, infinity edge, two hot tubs!!
Sloth Garden Tour was the best ever! Lots of wild sloths, fabulous guides who help yo take iPhone photos with their scopes!!
Great private truck tour - guide Katherine knew where everything lives, and took us right to them. Not much walking, exciting spotting, excellent photos!!
Fishing tour through Botanika was much better than one we booked in town. Expensive for a private charter, but we caught 2 Needlefish and several Jack. Really exciting day!!
Luxury in the heart of nature. Botanika is a beautiful Hilton Curio property located opposite the airport (not a problem) on the edge of a lovely piece of jungle property on the edge of the bay. To be clear the bay is a bit of a walk from the property but there are nature walking trails. Pros: Modern, clean rooms; thoughtful staff & housekeeping); excellent restaurant and bar at pool; and a fantastic pool/Jacuzzi they have bulk sunscreen (great idea). The beach shuttle (4x4 Land Cruiser) takes you to a private, quiet paradise with full beach bar & menu. We literally were the only ones on the beach for a 1/2 mile each way. We had a wonderful lunch after a few restful hours walking, swimming and lounging They provided beach towels. Walk back to the Crocodile Bay property and Dining: Great breakfast but a bit pricey, dinner was very nice at the restaurant. The pool bar’s quesadilla was an amazing choice. Service: The restaurant staff and drivers are all wonderful—incredibly friendly/helpful.
Beautiful accommodations and grounds. Nicest place to stay in Puerto Jimenez. Convenient location to get to dock if going to Corcovado National Park. Food was very good but somewhat expensive.
Really lovely place with a great pool that really anchors the entire resort. Our room was clean and comfortable though there was a weird beeping sound that was almost constant in our building through out our trip and there were at least 3 brief power outages during our visit.
This property is absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the surrounding area is perfect for a little walking through the jungle and beyond. It’s so convenient to have three restaurants right there and the food and drinks were delicious. Nice pool area, too. Wonderful staff! Highly recommend it!
Fantastic experience with my 13 and 15 year old kids. Beautiful pool, access to incredible wildlife and activities, wonderful food. My kids said this was one of the best vacation experiences for them!
Sympathetically designed hotel giving excellent accommodation coupled with wonderfully maintained garden areas which were full of wildlife. Convenient for Puerto Jimenez airport and town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great night tours, fishing trips which set off from private jetty were very popular and that was also a great place for a sundowner!
The place is great: great rooms, fantastic beds, great pool, nice premises. But you will not have a typical Costa Rican experience if you are looking for something authentic. Yet nothing to regret.
I recently spent 7 nights at Botanika Resort in Puerto Jimenez, and it was a great experience. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly, making sure everything went smoothly during my stay. My room was comfortable, and the AC worked well, which made a big difference in the tropical heat. The resort itself is set in a beautiful, natural environment, adding to the overall relaxing experience. I’d recommend Botanika to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to stay in Puerto Jimenez.
Beautiful new hotel. Prices are high and fees/surcharges were over $100 per night
Room service for two ice cream scoops was $32
It was very well designed. Pool bar is buzzing.
Amazing and high quality property located on the Osa Peninsula. The facilities are great and we had a really relaxing stay with lots of possible excursions to do. The drive from the mainland is steady and easy compared to the more northern parts of Costa Rica. We’d recommend the Corcovada day tour via boat too
The staff is incredible.
The fact that it was built in the past f years and doesn’t utilize solar power is very disappointing.

Liked: Staff & service
The hot tub was not hot. The hotel was nice what i expect from a HILTON but the activities were overpriced for what was offered. There was not much to do in the area unless it was booked through the hotel which was overprized. The staff was nice and the hotel was clean and modern what i would expect. The food at the bar was not good at all only the dinning room option was.
This was a hilton resort hotel, not what I had thought. Too far from town to walk so mainly ate at pool bar as cheaper. Staff there, especially Johan were great.
