Private cabin with stunning views & home-cooked meals

  • Enjoy a serene getaway with views of the gulf in a quiet location just 10 minutes outside of Puerto Jimenez. Nestled up in the hills, you'll be surrounded by nature and welcomed by a warm local couple who offer home-cooked meals with farm-fresh food. Disconnect and look out over the farm in all directions, with the comforts of wifi and true Costa Rican hospitality.

    Our two cabins share a large outdoor kitchen.

    Breakfast is included, and other meals are available for purchase. We have a variety of activities to offer on the property, from medicinal plant tours to jungle hikes.

Good for the Soul

My wife and I had been traveling for weeks. We stopped at this cabin just outside the town of Puerto Jimenez looking for a peaceful change of pace from some hectic and overly commercial hotels. We were delighted to find true Costa Rican hospitality and beautiful scenery that felt like a spiritual awakening. Last month we dealt with "congestion pricing" in NYC, but here it was like an emotional cleansing. We encountered a local couple whose family have been farming the land for generations. They could not have tried harder to make us feel welcomed and satisfied with the locally grown food and the accommodations. We learned a lot about nature, respect for the land, animals and each other. They get their water from their well, electricity from solar power and everything we saw and did seemed simple, clean and satisfying. We will definitely be back to re-energize and participate in a life style so in tune with nature, even if it's for a short interlude.
