Location is great/ Hotel is a bit outdated an is under renovation but it is not disturbing. Breakfast is much more pure as it used to be but still acceptable.

And there during a major wind storm in October. I didn’t review badly because of that. Didn’t get to use the amenities because of the high winds all weekend and sand blowing everywhere. Overall it’s a good place to stay. Conveniently located and clean when the dust and sand isn’t blowing to every crevice of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly too.

I love staying at Laos Mar! super close to the beach, super easy to get taxis, parking on site and they’re so helpful with anything you need! truly the best place to stay at in puerto!

The staff was very kind and attentive to our needs! My husband couldn’t stop admiring how good everything was despite being a last minute trip. Beach was 1 minute walk away which was a plus! Amazing beach waters!

The property was clean but there was parts of it that were under maintenance and it was near the pool area so you couldn’t help but notice it, there was a vending machine with useful items however the machine was out of order, the wifi never worked and that was very frustrating because our signal was down for the majority of our trip and we couldn’t connect like we thought we’d be able to. When i checked out i asked for my receipt and noticed they charged me $30 for a bag of ice even tho i never purchased anything from them. Breakfast buffet was great they have great options and the eating area was clean and up kept. Our room was very clean and we did get room service on one of our days. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was not bad we were on the second floor only a few feet away from our room. Also about a 3 -5 min walk to the beach and the nearest convenience store was only about 1 street down. Overall i would recommend it but definitely check your receipts.

Rock-hard beds (mattress sitting on a built-in wood slab!) made for backaches in the morning. They were so uncomfortable that we actually left a day early! There were lipstick stains on a pillow case and another, unidentifiable stain on a sheet. The breakfast was horrible- tried one day and didn’t return. Staff were nice but with very limited English. Pool area was nice and beach access was just a short walk across the street. Very disappointing stay.

Water pressure in the room would randomly go up or down. There were crumbs on the floor next to the sliding door. The staff was very nice and even had a refrigerator for my mother's medication.

Over all for the price it was great. You can hit the beach with a rock from the hotel. The menu at the restaurant was great and everyone spoke English enough to communicate everything. Would definitely recommend if you aren't sure where to stay and didn't want to pay a big price to come down and scope things out. Everything is about a mile from the hotel. Since it's part of Playa Bonita we were able to go eat at the resort next to the hotel. Not sure if you're supposed to do this but no one stopped us 😅
