I loved the beach view. it would’ve been nice for the restaurant to be open even for breakfast. I was sorry the hot tub was not working. I think the new owner should put a little investment into this beautiful area. It could be made so much better.

A Place in the SUN

My studio was very comfortable and clean. It had the basic supplies for cooking simple meals. I was very close to the beach, shopping and a variety of wonderful restaurants. A very convenient fresh fruit and vegetable stand was right outside the gates that offered delicious ready-made fruit salads as well as Dominican produce. The staff at Hotel Alegria were friendly and always ready to help with big smiles. Joseph in reception provided excellent service (including fresh coffee) along with the very nice cleaning and maintenance staff. I would stay for longer next time!

As digital nomads, the internet is not reliable enough to work from. Our room was right next to one of the WIFI routers and still was going in and out and not able to hold a teams call. The water was also not very hot for showers. Hotel management did accommodate us by refunding us the remaining days and we paid and stayed for only one night before moving to Kite Beach at an airbnb for the remainder of our stay and had no problems and even worked from the beach while watching the kite surfers which was very cool!

Room is infested with bed bugs. We didn't even realized, until we left. First couple of days we had few bites. Yesterday night were covered with bites all over, we were thinking it was mosquitoes, then suddenly we realized that these could be bed bugs bites, looked up to confirm, sure enough, bug bites all over. Staff members were good but terrible room, which is the most important thing. We never experienced bug bites before otherwise we have gotten out of there right away. It was raining so thought it's the muquitos. So the owner should get rid of bed and furniture ASAP.

Beautiful Sea view

I stayed a couple of nights in a sea view room, which I absolutely loved. I never use AC and here they has something much better: mosquito screens and a fan. The view was wonderful and you can hear the sound of the ocean all day and night, since the hotel is located at the end of the beach, off from noise. Wifi is good and there's a fridge, too. The bed was really comfy and the decoration easy on the eye. The staff was friendly and the owners are renovating the place to be even better. I will definitely be back, when in Cabarete.

The hotel is ok . . My room was soo dusty alot of mosquito. The room needed to be sweep. Needed to put in a humidity box. The bathroom needs more room it was too low.
