The staff at the property were very quick to respond to requests and were friendly. The complimentary coffee, tea and bread in the mornings was a very special and appreciated touch. Location is walking distance to Los Mortos Beach, Zona Romantica and endless dining options.

Make sure to ask for an exterior room. It is a clean Mexican hotel with one and two bedroom suites. Kitchen with refrigerator is convenient. While there are cement couches with pillows , there was no comfortable place to sit. Our two bedroom was interior with no access to any view except an interior space.

Acoustics in building were challenging. The voices of guests and housecleaning travelled up courtyard all hours of the day. Also why are they moving garbage cans and dragging furniture at 2;00 am every morning?

The hotel is very convenient to the Malacon and the El Centro shops and restaurants. It is quaint, with a beautiful pool and garden area on the top floor.

Love this place. This was my 8th visit since 2013. Hotel is steadily improving with better wifi. Pool area looks great! Affordable with cooking facilities. Great location. Special shout out to Marco at the front desk.

We liked the hotel. Well located, old charm and small. We were lucky to have a suite on a quiet street! Pools not really pools! None of the 3 is suitable for swimming. Disappointed! Clean. Immaculate beds with nice pillows and cases.

Nice little hotel.
For an older hotel it's pretty nice. It would be suitble if you had a small family and wanted to hang around Puerto Vallarta for a week or so.

The place was ok for a very short stay. Our first room had no windows! We booked 3 weeks. Not like shown online. Don’t take your shoes off in the room. Your feet will be sticky black, but maids will tell you they wash the floors daily.😂 We stayed in two rooms and each room floor was filthy. We had them wash the floors, and then was slightly better. They don’t give you fresh dishcloths for washing dishes. They are dirty they told me they don’t wash them ever. I asked them to wash the cloths and please give me a new one, and the maids had a fit. Eduardo also had a fit and was rude to us about it! He is not very nice or accommodating. If you don’t book with agent, hotel treats you like crap. Lesson learned. Rosalio is the nicest, most reasonable. There is a washing machine that you can use, and Eduardo lied to me and said “no there isn’t”, and that I had to pay full Price. Everyone else told us it was free to use at my discretion. He cheated me $40! He was on the side of his disgruntled and lazy maids. We were put on the floor you walked two floors up. The younger maid on our was rude and always scowling at us. She would never say hello or smile: Because we asked her to do their job? We tipped very well every single day even in spite of their horrid attitudes to us. Our mistake was not booking through agent where their reputation is at stake. The pools are kiddie wading pools. 12-36” deep. No hot tub. They don’t clean the toilets up there either. Always dirty.

Stayed with my family. 3 kids in total. Loved the pools upstairs and the location is perfect. Loved the feel and freedom of the kitchenette to cook. Ordered in sometimes and had room cleaned daily. Many other families stayed as well. Staff came to help set up the safe first day and called taxi for airport on our last day. Excellent experience as a first time traveller.

Suites Plaza del Rio is a great property right smack in the middle of what they call Downtown Puerto Vallarta and Romantic Zone. It's a two block walk from the hotel to the Malecon. There's plenty of shopping around the place. The Suite Plaza isn't a luxuries resort. Nor is it a Motel 6. It's a great place in a great location. It's a family type property. I stayed in a two bedroom two bath suite. It has a kitchen, balcony and living room. The AC is nice and cold. The bathrooms are small. This is my second stay in this hotel. It has a pool, but I never seen or used it. Every time I've stayed, I've always felt what it would be like if it was my own apartment. Yes, that's how it feels. Your own apartment in Puerto Vallarta.

The location of the property is perfect for Simone wishing to explore Old Vallarta. However, the place could use major renovations. The bathroom smelled horrible due to old plumbing. We had to close the door or run water to be rid of the smell. The only AC in the suite is in the bedroom so good luck hanging out in the living room area. The only TV is in the living room so watching tv in a cool room was impossible. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Location location location. Just two suspension bridges away from zona romantica and two blocks to el centro. Los muertos beach an easy walk. Pretty basic accommodations, but clean. You get what you pay for. Location can’t be beat.

Great location for us walking is our best mode of movement in this area. Plenty of things to do and see and eat. The establishment is older but extremely spacious and is clean. We would stay again as well as refer friends and family. Good value.
