The property was okay but not much activity even though you have acero the other property; Barceló Palace but it is a inconvenient. I think that the casino, the bar in the middle of the swimming pool, a small gym and maybe different shows at least on weekends instead of music on a big screen. Food at the buffet I will give a 2 *, the best meal we have was at the Chef’s Gourmet and at the Japanese restaurant. Balcony is small but enough, casino is not in the adult area so we never make it there. Staff is very nice, good people.

From start to finish, everything was incredibly well-organized and accessible. The Staff: The team here is highly professional, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. Their attention to detail really stood out. Facilities & Beach: The beach is breathtaking, and both the beach and pool areas were pristine, orderly, and very easy to navigate. Activities: There was always something fun to do, with well-structured activities that kept things lively but relaxed. Everything was clean, accessible, and perfectly coordinated. We highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to come back!

Our stay was a mix of positives and negatives. Unfortunately, the rooms were outdated, and we had to switch rooms twice due to maintenance issues. One room had a bathtub that wouldn’t drain properly, another had a toilet that wouldn’t flush, and we also found hair in one of the tubs, which was disappointing. On the positive side, we really enjoyed the pool area, and the food was pretty good with a nice variety of options. While the resort has potential, the rooms could definitely use renovations and better housekeeping to improve the overall guest experience.

Everything about this resort was top notch. The premier package was such a great deal- the food, drinks, activities, and space was all worth it. We had friends over on the palace side (for families) and it was also amazing to have access to the amenities there. You never have to leave the resort unless you want to do an excursion, but they’ll pick you up in the lobby!!! Can’t say enough good things about this trip. And for sure get a shuttle/ride from the airport to resort and back and give yourself at least 3 hours!

The hotel itself was very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. However, the staff was very rude. Anytime you asked a question they were not helpful. However, the people who cleaned my room were very nice and always helpful. This hotel upcharged for everything. In order to get to the front of the hotel you had to pay extra money each time which wasn’t fair. The food was also horrible. I will not be returning here.

Maria Encarna in the Caribe Buffet for both breakfast and lunch is an absolute treasure to Barceló. From the moment you walk into the dining room, she makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and loving with everyone she meets. What stood out to me just as much was the way she treats her staff. She leads with kindness, respect, and encouragement, creating a warm and positive atmosphere that is felt throughout the entire dining room. Every day, I looked forward to going to lunch because I knew I would see Maria. She always greeted me with the biggest smile and a warm hug, making me feel like family. It’s rare to meet someone who leaves such a lasting impression during a vacation, but Maria did exactly that. She is a true asset to Barceló, and I hope she receives the recognition she so richly deserves for the joy and exceptional hospitality she brings to every guest’s experience.

It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. Only 20min from the airport. Overall the property is upkept and nice. Pools and beach are great. At check-in we were given rooms keys that didn’t work and then we were given keys to someone else’s room who we walked in on. Front desk was unapologetic and we got nothing in return. Food lacks in quality but that’s kind of normal in D.R.? Our flights got moved for departure and transportation service that was booked through Expedia canceled on us and didn’t pick us up. We had to get a taxi. I think I would stay here again for the right deal.

Adults Only Resort is beautiful, clean and relaxing. The staff was very polite and helpful when asking questions. The room was not the best part for me but it was clean but also had a little smell. King size bed was comfortable enough to get some rest. Balcony was cute with a great view. Restaurants - Santa Fe Steakhouse definitely need improvement with consistency. Our table ordered NY strip steak cooked the same way. We all got a different cut of steak. I did not eat. Staff was nice and service was quick. El Coral Seafood was an overall terrible experience. Staff was very slow but polite. Food not good at all. I ordered lobster bisque and lobster ravioli. Was not happy at all. Did not eat. Caribe Buffet was ok. Staff was very polite. There is a something to eat for everyone. La Brisa Buffet is my all time favorite. So many Dominican dishes to choose from all seasoned to perfection. Overall the best Buffet to eat at while you're there! Staff was also very polite and the restaurant was beautiful and very clean. Overall Barcelo Bavaro Beach was an amazing experience with great amenities. The beach and pool was beautiful and relaxing. Would definitely come back!

The good: Beautiful property and love the decor. Very clean and a ton to do. The bad: My room was not ready upon arrival. It took a few hours for me to get a room. The room decor is dated and it looks old. Stains on the walls and the AC unit leaks water and is directly over the bed. I was afraid I would get sick with it blowing on me. Sometimes the staff was confused because of the language barrier. The good at every place we went to was lack luster and lacked variety. I want more local flavor and more options. The entertainment was weak. It was low quality and needs an update. The pool has no music and no swim up bar for the adults only side. Parts of the property were under kept and need to be landscaped. Reservations were a pain to make because everything was full when we tried to schedule with the Premium level. However, when I went to the restaurant I was able to get in. I think they were just trying to make us go to the least like places. I tried to return my towel at the end of the day and I couldn’t because they ran out of towel passes. Which is odd because you have to give them one to get a towel. So how do you run out? The liquor options were terrible. Nothing top shelf. Everyone was looking for a tip and the men would sometimes be inappropriate by staring or saying something under their breath. I used the spa and gym. Basic. The gym is very bare minimum and the spa wasn’t that great. I broke out in a rash from the scrub they used. Bottom line: I wouldn’t go back.

I would have given 5 stars but it was quite difficult to get clean towels and toilet paper from room service. All other staff went above and beyond to be accommodating! I would also recommend maybe staying away from the meals that require reservations, though the food was good the portions were small. Stick to the buffet it’s phenomenal anyway!

I recommend this resort to anyone this resort is all inclusive adults only for a nice getaway and relaxation there is also excursions and tours to do and they help you find the best price that there is to your budget they also send clients to other resort to show them the new ones that are built and promote they have young people that does activities around the pool to grab people's attention to do some dancing classes and so creativity and making projects and necklaces that is with the national stone from this country the employee staffs are super happy and amazing helpful to everyone they speak English and Spanish they bring job and laugher to everyone the food here is amazing and they have during the week different types of flags that are food from different country's and they add there Dominican Republic spice to it tours were amazing I recommend all of them but I have no complaints me and my family loved it here and the people as well
