We had a great time! The property is dated but very clean. The staff is amazing. Everyone seems genuinely happy. They are Always saying hi and singing and going out of their way to help with anything needed. The restaurants and buffets should be opened more hours they close in the late afternoon before dinner and fairly early in the evening so if you want something to eat in the late afternoon or later at night you are out of luck unless you order room service

We did not receive the room upgrade. We got the butler service with club level however he did the bare minimum-which was nothing. Made one reservation for us the entire week and we showed up for that dinner and they did not have our reservation. I had to show them our WhatsApp message from our butler Santiago when he confirmed the date/time with us because they didn’t believe us. Most things other butlers were doing for guests we just did ourselves. Ours was too busy to bother! Also, our fridge was never restocked we left cash in it for days then finally called several times before someone came. We had to keep calling to try and find bottled water every day. They will not deliver water with room service. Our maid, several servers and bartenders were amazing!!! The beach DJ was fun and we enjoyed the music by the pools and beach. The food was good loved the variety. The rest-not so much. Having excursions outside from this resort saved our trip and we had a blast! The vibe at Majestic Elegance is for much older adults 60 . Won’t return, not our kind of vibe. This is definitely not 5 star service either. There is a FB page for this resort and it’s run by staff and friends. Only positive posts allowed that’s why so many great reviews!! Negative people get kicked out. I just recently learned of this. The staff also asks for reviews on the spot which my husband fell for the first day while sitting on the beach. I feel misled but lesson learned!

Beach and pool areas are excellent, Japanese restaurant and steakhouse were delicious. Our butler Modesto was great, answered our all questions and decorated our room for our 30th anniversary. Our great employees: Marilania (pool), Maribel(massage), Rigoberto and Wilber (Italian restaurant).

The staff here are amazing! Always very happy to help, and generous. Our biggest concern was the room. Our “king bed” was really two twin beds pushed together. There wasn’t even a sheet big enough to fit the makeshift mattress. I called asking to be moved, but no one ever showed up to the room to help us. Also the balcony had missing prongs which made it extremely unsafe for folks traveling with babies.
