About this property

Creekside - Pets ok/no hot tub

  • One of eight cabins at Hollar & Hush — 77 private acres on Fall Creek in the Blue Ridge foothills, a few minutes off the Parkway. A waterfall a short hike from the cabins, 1,500 feet of trout stream, trails through the woods, and a fire pit at your door. Come to put the phone down

Open the door and hear the water. One of seven cabins at Hollar & Hush, 77 private acres in the Blue Ridge foothills, minutes off the Parkway. Two queen bedrooms and a loft, a porch facing the creek, fire pit out front. Closest cabin to the water and a short hike to our own waterfall. Dogs welcome. No hot tub — the creek is the feature.

The whole property is yours to roam: Fall Creek, the trails, and the hike to the waterfall. Each cabin has its own fire pit, parking and porch.

Fall Creek runs through the property for about 1,500 feet and we own to the center of the stream. It`s a stocked NC Wildlife hatchery-supported trout water — rainbow, brown and brook — and it`s yours to fish from our side. Wade, fish, or just sit on a rock with a coffee.

Self check-in with a door code sent the afternoon before you arrive. I`m typically on the property and live part of my time in one of the cabins, so if you need anything — a question, a recommendation, something not working — reach out on Airbnb messages and I`ll come sort it. Otherwise I`ll leave you to it.

Dogs welcome — $75 pet fee, max 2, leashed outside.

Fishing: you`ll need an NC fishing license (buy online takes five minutes). Trout season on this stretch runs from the first Saturday in April through the end of February; the creek is closed to fishing March 1 until opening day while the state stocks it. Limit is seven trout a day. Please stay on our side of the creek — the far bank is private.
