"I was slightly disappointed with my stay here. While I did notice and understand that they are doing some renovations, I was unimpressed by the state of my room when I walked in. The room is spacious and not bad, but it was very clearly not cleaned well prior to my arrival. The inside of the fridge was gross with spills and food remnants. The floors seemed dirty and so was the bathroom. The mirror wasn't even clean and had splatter on it. There was no bar of soap or hand soap bottle which I found to be odd. The bathroom window was open when I came in and it was freezing in the room. The window also didn't have any sort of latch or lock just slide close. As a young woman staying alone I didn't feel the most secure to be honest. They also had just installed a keypad lock system which is fine, but I noticed there was no secondary latch for the inside of the room which I feel like is a safety concern as well. The girl who checked me in was friendly, but overall this was an odd experience. I never have much expectation when staying at a motel, but I feel like this lacked some very basic necessities in any sort of hospitality stay. I am not sure if there was breakfast or anything included here but I was given no information at all. I am glad that the TV was working. I would highly recommend the following things to improve customer satisfaction with their stay:
-Providing hand soap and towels
-Better cleanliness
-Locks on windows and doors
-New mattress or topper
-Extra sheets"
"The room was spacious and clean. There was a microwave and fridge as well as a small table with 2 chairs. There was a back door to a lovely sitting area just outside our first floor room."
"View from the balcony was great but the outside noise was so loud that we were forced to keep the balcony door closed.
The height of the toilet was so low that I (85 yrs old) had to practically fall on it and now it was difficult to get up.
Distant to things very hard for anyone who has difficulty walking."
"Staff was friendly, and room was quite comfy. If you stay here, be aware of the proximity to local nightclubs, which can get rowdy. Otherwise it was an excellent stay."
"I enjoyed my stay at the Inn. I was there over a weekend for two days of work. The building was quiet and my room was comfortable. Some of the decor is a bit older, but it had charm, and was clean. I stayed in the main building. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was good. The Wifi in the Inn was not the best, but only an issue because I was working on something. I would stay and the Inn again."
"The property is on the Trent Severn waterway in an idyllic peaceful setting. There was a sitting area by the water that was so beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend this Inn to anyone that wants a relaxing vacation on the river. Great restaurants nearby."
"Expedia site said location had a pool. However upon arrival we found out it's closed until June. The ONLY reason i picked this location was for the pool.
Property poorly maintained. Seat at end of bed broke. After seeing it back up i see leg of seat held on with a C clamp"
