8/10 Good
"The historic property is beautiful in general. We booked a last minute room and the backdoors that are next to the parking lot are locked. The number listed to call staff doesn’t work. We had to bang on the locked side door to get into the hotel! Once we got in the gentleman running the desk alone, was not very welcoming or kind. In fact, he seemed bothered to have to unlock the door. We told him the number on the back door. didn’t work, he did not seem to care. This was a last minute booking after the MV fair- we were too tired to drive back to Chicago. We asked him for complimentary tooth brushes and he gave one for 2 people. When i asked for another, he acted like it was coming out of his check. He needs a course on customer service."
